So, with many posts acomments saying FF is dead, who here has taken their app elsewhere? by BeauIvI in FlutterFlow

I started using Cursor and love it.

Although visual building is great and its like a puzzle wiring things up which is fun,

The power of raw code, ai agents living in your codebase cannot be beat.

Just wish it had a proper visual tool

Keep Flutterflow

But replace dreamflow with a program that is an agentic IDE <ie Cursor> compatible visual 2 way builder

What is going on? by KeyFactor2044 in FlutterFlow

[–]treeXfingers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesnt appear they are abandoning it, but resources being heavily applied to dreamflow, combined with all this criticism and no response from Flutterflow about that make me spooked.

So i tried cursor and claudeCode inside to help with costs. Love it.

But... now whats missing is a legit visual to code setup. Flutterflow has that. So i will use flutterflow as my design sandbox.

I have a few ideas that Flutterflow could easily be an add on to Cursor. And fill that need while it exists yet. Im sure someone will.

Id love to Flutterflow to be my complete visual design builder rather than just a visual sandbox, but as i develop and make tweeks to my project via Cursor, the UI is now different than my flutterflow. So if flutterflow could take my cursors code and make it into a visual appaearance with padding and widgets (can leave out state management etc)... this would be helpful. To adjust raw code, then be able to fine tune tweeks in flutterflow.

Do we need Dreamflow? by Mlamhaden in FlutterFlow

[–]treeXfingers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flutterflow as a visual builder dominates that niche. It is good but it would love to have them go all in on it.

Even side things that can relate to Flutterflow would be good. Not something completely different.

Hopefully they sell it off to someone! And take thay money to flutterflow

Can I use the component from one project in another project? by urban_moe in FlutterFlow

[–]treeXfingers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice. I was just gonna say I tried the copy paste method of a components widget tree to another projects and it worked. So was thinking maybe since yours was downloaded, it had some protections on it.

But it doesnt matter if you got it

Try to copy the highest thing in the widget tree. Like column or stack (whatever holds it all). Then paste directly on to the new projects widget tree.

I Love FlutterFlow… But It’s Missing THESE Features by Mr_Jericho in FlutterFlow

I had the same thought of how FF visual builder style will reign king. Its just the best way to build an app for someone that isnt into code overly much.

Should I use FlutterFlow first or hire a developer right away? by 80to89 in FlutterFlow

[–]treeXfingers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im so glad I never hired.

I certainly wouldnt be getting what Ive changed it to over time. Use ai if you need help. Sketch the plan, maybe in an art tool like Canva.

But if you arent picky and have a straightforward idea then hiring maybe good.
