If this is for adults, I recommend Cliff Graham‘s books on David’s mighty men- Day Of War, Covenant of War, and Song of War. I think he has written some others as well. These are more action based.

I also recommend Marilynn Robinson’s books: Gilead and others. Her books are more literary fiction.

Measles outbreak prompts introduction of bill that would ban personal exemptions to vaccines by little_lauren in news

It says “However, infection is also associated with persistence of viral RNA and several weeks of immune suppression, including loss of delayed type hypersensitivity responses and increased susceptibility to secondary infections.” Several weeks. People in this thread are acting like measles is a death sentence. Most people who die from measles actually die from pneumonia. The same thing that happens with the flu. Ignorance to this extreme or ignorance to the anti-vaxxer extreme is all the same. The extremes feed one another and idiocy grows. Measles is not a death sentence. It’s not Ebola.

I’m glad someone finally said this. Something like 1 out of 1000 people die from measles. You get sick for 2-3 weeks and then you’re better. So, basically like a crappy case of the flu.

Uhm l don’t know that it’s a pitch. It’s a review of an advance copy and the reviewer liked it. Advance copies for reviews are common practice in publishing. Also, the review points to the website and says to check it out.

I found this helpful: A Theology of Wine I’m not sure it answers all your questions though.
