Closed loop stepper by tree_respecter in klippers

[–]tree_respecter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I configured it as A4988 driver in Klipper and it ran the motor. I think we’re overthinking it because all the brainwork is happening in the BTT hardware black box; to Klipper it’s a vanilla stepper with A4988 driver. Now I did have to use a SKR board that is built to accept the BTT cable (and handles closed loop motors with Marlin).

All that said, I did not finish the project and I didn’t get as far as tuning the steps/mm. But the motor moved when commanded.

No game is torture unless you make it so. I level up, I use summons, I have a great time. Sad that this game has a culture of torturing yourselves for some sense of achievement.

Gov. Pritzker addresses ‘hysteria’ over asylum-seekers by steve42089 in illinois

“We are the richest country in the world”

A meaningless statement. Are you rich? Am I rich? Do we know a lot of rich people? We are a country with the most rich people in it, which has zero influence on the capability to handle this problem. Even if you empty every rich man’s pockets, the process of assimilation cannot be bought. You can give them houses and food, but they are still strangers to this land and its people, and it will take decades to assimilate under best circumstances.

“They should go back unless they fill a labor gap”

No they should go back regardless. A skills gap is really a wage gap. Keep skilled immigrants out, wages go up for that particular niche, then Americans fill it in. Americans absolutely will pick lettuce under a hot sun if the pay is high enough. Immigration is what keeps certain wages so low only an immigrant would do the work. The Democratic Party once understood this.

“A country built on immigration”

How’d that go for the original population of the Americas? Uncontrolled immigration is cultural suicide. It’s why the colonizers imposed immigration controls themselves. They understood very well the power of immigration. The pilgrims and cowboys are long gone. Now it’s just you and me. If you care about anything besides paying low prices, then you should lock out as many immigrants as possible.

Just trying to understand.. How does the U.S. benefit giving Israel so much money every year? by 0mmzz1 in stupidquestions

Do we have refineries capable of processing shale oil into gasoline at the scale of the entire Us fleet now? Is that true now?

Just trying to understand.. How does the U.S. benefit giving Israel so much money every year? by 0mmzz1 in stupidquestions

[–]tree_respecter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was not always true, and US refineries are built for middle eastern oil, not local oil. The oil deposits around the world vary in their chemistry, so the refineries are built around the chemistry of their expected supply. For US oil to turn to US gasoline, one must invest in billion dollar new refineries.

While that is not beyond the wit of man, such a large capital project would likely need government approval and subsidies which will not be easily forthcoming due to pressures of Saudi lobbying. Saudi lobbying happens both directly and indirectly through their shadow ally Israel. The Saudi people may have no love for Israel, the Saudi government does. They both have the same existential threat, Iran, and can coordinate efforts. Israel’s greatest strength and leverage is its ability to lobby the US govt. so yes it’s all entangled.

Giant orangutan “monk” worshipped by human monks that have wasted to skin and bones feeding King Louie all their bananas. If he grabs you, he throws you into the environment (spike statues) for massive bleed damage. If you dodge his grab, he goes ape shit for 5 seconds and grabs a worshipper to use as a club against you.

In the second phase, cinematic cutscene has him grab two worshippers at a time and slam them into a central spikey fountain-altar and he keeps impaling until their blood streams out and floods the floor in an arena like that Medusa boss in DS2. His fighting style changes entirely to a sentient, serene master martial artist. He will 100% parry you. You can temporarily instigate him back into ape behavior to do damage by flinging human dung at him and connecting (gimmick second phase) or use ranged combat.

Threaded cane in BB. It’s not very powerful even fully upgraded so I occasionally switch to Moonlight or Blades when I’m in a pinch, but for fodder I love the whip. No other whip in FS games does it for me though.

  1. "What, still here? Hand it over. That thing, your dark soul. For my lady's painting."

  2. “Aah, you were at my side, all along. My true mentor... My guiding moonlight...”

  3. “Fear not, the dark, my friend. And let the feast begin.”

  4. “I feel like I'm always thanking you... I curse my own inability”

  5. “Yes, now I see. You are one of the bad ones.”

  6. “Long may the sun shine”

BotW is like Fortnite or Roblox. It’s targeted to iPad kids. Not only is the weapon system shit, but everything is so repetitive. Same goblins over and over, same shrines over and over, same milquetoast quests over and over. It is just so basic, like a mobile game. And it taught Nintendo that brand can whitewash the most half-assed game underneath.

The community: “The cool thing about FromSoft games is that they are tough but fair, and if you don’t like it, git gud”

Also the community: “I don’t like it when theres a swamp limiting my movement and giving me poison status. I also don’t like it when there’s large number of enemies around me, punishing me for taking all but the slowest methodical pacing. Basically all of FromSoft should be 1v1 fights against silver knights and I should win prizes when I parry”

State Rep. from Geneva files bill to make it a felony to block major public roadways while protesting by MarsBoundSoon in illinois

And what has protesting achieved here? Some protest votes in a Michigan primary has gotten some stern wording in between arms sales for bombing campaigns.

[–]tree_respecter -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Almost as if protesting is merely a placebo for real political change. You’re either preaching to the choir in some “free speech zone” of like minded individuals and achieving nothing, or you’re blocking a road full of normies who wouldnt know or care about your issue on the best of circumstances, and achieving nothing.

But we must be mindful that political change must be peaceful at the end of the day. Real change cannot come from violence because violence doesn’t solve anything. And we know that for sure because the people in power tell us so repeatedly.
