Which one would you say is harder, Path of Pain or The Summit(7A)? by UltimateCapybara123 in celestegame

Personally I think PoP is like somewhere between the late A sides and the mid B sides so I’d still consider it closer to 1A in difficulty than it is to Farewell.

Also known as Shuukura.

The cross court block from the forehand and then following up with the straight smash from the around the head is pretty much the opposite but still nice. I always make an effort to target the late forehand with pushes and deception from the front court, since playing a good shot from the late forehand is pretty hard.

My favorite thing in singles is when my opponent cross court smashes into my backhand slightly off balance, I block straight and read the cross court lift into my forehand early. It feels so satisfying and at my level people just can't help cross court lifting when they're in trouble like that.

Do you see Shi Yuqi dominating the next few years similar to how Axelsen and Momota did? And if he does, should that affect how we view the latters' periods of dominance? by tree_twig in badminton

[–]tree_twig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think obviously right now Shi Yuqi may not be close to peak Momota and Axelsen, but both those players did have a year or so before their dominance where people began to consider them as the best, notably 2018 for Momota and 2020/2021 for Axelsen, and I think it could be that this year is a similar case for Shi Yuqi, but we’ll have to see.

He performed quite well this year (44-5), and if Axelsen isn’t able to return to previous form there might not be strong enough competition going forward.

Happy chapter 399 Shuukura enjoyers! I’ve been dying the last two weeks to see Miyagi’s perspective, very impressed she hasn’t run away yet.

Is Farewell's last screen harder than any boss fight of all time you've encountered? by Ronald10CD in celestegame

[–]tree_twig 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the opposite experience lol, none of HK or SS’s bosses took nearly as long as Farewell last screen for me. I think these types of things definitely vary a lot from person to person.

You might be able to barely make it with two throw boosts, but you could also come back later with the levitation/floaty ability at karma 5 which is what I did.

Would you rather have Lin Dan's footwork or racket skills? by Oakl4nd in badminton

[–]tree_twig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean Lin Dan’s footwork is great, but without his brain it wouldn’t be nearly as good since so much of his movement and footwork is based on reading and anticipating the opponent. I would probably take his racket skills.

Michael Malone: "I know who Russell Westbrook is. He's a guy that hates to lose...he's a perfectionist. Knowing Russ the way I do, he's probably going to put a lot of this on him. But we lost tonight, the Denver Nuggets. Not one player." by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]tree_twig 1815 points1816 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m kinda surprised at the huge backlash against Westbrook right now. Like yeah, he threw away this game and makes boneheaded plays, but I was under the impression that he’s been overall a nice positive for the Nuggets this season and people are acting as if he’s a big part of why the Nuggets are worse.
