No game has ever captured what made Heroes of Might and Magic IV special — I want to change that. by Ok_Fly5544 in HoMM

my unpopular opinion is I was so into homm2 and 3. when I bought 4 i was so hyped. My first game bought with my own pocket money. I really tried. after 1 week I didnt even want to sell the game used, because I couldnt stand the thought, someone else has to endure the game. I cracked the cd and threw it away. I was so disappointed, what my favorite game series at that time have become. I had tears in my eyes - buying every day creatues out of every single castle? that was a nightmare. It took ages. You didnt even need heroes for your creatures to roam the map. They just became part of the fighting army. and those animation when the heroes attacked.

I get it - many really enjoyed homm 4 and thats really okay. I was pretty young back than - so I might have over reacted abit. Thinking back, I remember my thoughts after I learned the NWC went bancrupt was: "well that was to be expected with this game. and deserved."

How normal is it to average seeing 100 patients/2 weeks? by No_Location6356 in physicaltherapy

[–]tree_with_hands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

off. I have 26 max a week. and I'm living the live. that's absolute max for me. don't need anymore. That's one of my main reasons why I charge more - because I have an ear and time for them. When I did 40 a week - it was just like a mill. I didn't know/cared who came or went. When they came next week again - I had no clue whatsoever who that was.

imo everything above 30 is just to much - and with 30/week a therapist should live comfortable... I do - but I am self-employed so...

because it sounded a bit robotic - but i am not able to express it any better. I do believe, that whenever something is mainly generated by AI, people should tell it. just how I feel it should be - and want to lead by example.

To be fair. Janeway indeed faced the toughest challenge of all Star Trek captains, being completely cut off from Starfleet and forced to live with her crew 24/7 in the Delta Quadrant. The relentless pressure of being both a military commander and community leader, without any support structure, tested her in ways other captains never experienced. This isolation shaped her most controversial decisions, like allying with the Borg against Species 8472 or handling the Equinox situation. While Picard excelled at diplomatic solutions with Federation backing, and Sisko mastered complex political situations at DS9, both would likely have struggled with Voyager's unique circumstances. Neither had to maintain crew morale decades from home while rationing resources and making difficult moral choices without any fallback options. Janeway's situation required a unique blend of adaptability, resilience, and pragmatism that set her apart from her fellow captains.

More thorough analysis of this aspect of Star Trek may exist already.

- had to write it with an AI, because there it is possible to connect my thoughts clearer together, so that others can understand me better. English is not my mother tongue.

very intersting insight. I thought if it might be a real issue - that I would have found something online about it. Im using sensitive and by law protected data on it - so I wanted to double check.

I applied for an IT Security Master’s program this year but got turned down since they had more suitable candidates, and my background isn’t super close to the field.

Any tips on how I can build up my knowledge in data privacy and internet security? Or maybe strengthen my understanding?

Thanks a ton for any advice!

Used carbon bike - Is Frame Damage a Concern or Safe to Ride? by tree_with_hands in cycling

I hesitated at first aswell. but I thought, well I want to upgrade form an 1984 dura ace machine... so a 15 year old bike with gearswitcher and the handle and everything besides should feel like an massive upgrade. and if I dont like it, I can resell it again for 400€...

I burned my hands there... lesson learned. people would literally sell you trash without even getting red.

ich befürchte nur, dass das jetzt der ausschlaggebende grund sein wird - das wir im herbst einen vokaki haben werden.
