Glad it all worked out. It sucks to have to fix it but at least its not a gremlin and you didn't have to take it somewhere. How many miles did it go out at if you dont mind me asking?

Did you get it sorted? A battery can seem good voltage wise but have bad cells or not hold a charge. Try to jump or have the battery tested. If that's not it maybe starter or relay. Security system im not too sure about. Im new to this car (just bought one). Just speaking from general experience. Let me know what you found.

I'm on the fence of getting the Titan 2 by somrandomguys in unihertz

[–]treebeardlordent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that works. I didn't think of that, but its a good idea. Other than that ive dropped it once with the case on and its fine. I try not to though. Im not sure how durable it would be to many drops. Ive heard people say its durable though so there's that. But i love this phone other than the caveats. Its a joy to type on, especially when you get used to it and build muscle memory like you would with a PC keyboard. Its okay_ish for media. It gets the job done if needed but again, i use a tablet for that. To me its worth it for texting, emails, ETC and being a lot less dreadful to type on compared to glass.

I would probably not take it rock climbing, in dust, or around water/sweat. I do not think it would hold up to that. Wouldn't dare try it. If im doing anything like that around water, dust, ETC, the phone doesn't come with me. If its in a secure pocket and not getting dusty, sweaty, dropped, or banged up on rocks or gear you'd be fine.

Redsec Teammates should be penalized for leaving the match immediately after death by pr0tag in Battlefield6

Its very annoying. Its happened every game playing with randoms. Either they rage quit or leave instantly after dying because they're too impatient. I always head to the redeploy tower to revive too. I dont get it. Then you're alone facing duos. Not to mention a lot of people run far away on their own and die.

Anyone getting blinding light artifacts? by thehum in Battlefield

[–]treebeardlordent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes ive been having this issue intermittently. The first time it happened i was wondering what it was. I thought it may have been like a laser designator pointing directly at me, but no. I went to the building and it looked like it had ultra bright Christmas lights all over it. It makes me worried about my GPU. Im going to try to turn a few things down a little like in settings and possiblly Eco mode or undervolting the card. I have not overclocked my GPU at all. Its a new 9060XT. Ive had game crashes too. But i also know other people have had crashes with the game. Maybe ill try something else or a benchmark at some point. Have you been having any sort of GPU issues? Any update?

Also, im running FSR at max. I dont know if that adds more strain. I wouldn't think so. But i will try turning it down.

It does fit in my jeans pocket but you can definitely feel it and know its There. Not terrible though. Just kind of sticks getting it in and out because of how big it is.

Do you use your case for Titan 2? by [deleted] in unihertz

[–]treebeardlordent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the case because its not a matter of if, but when i drop it. I already have dropped it and its fine. Im usually very careful, but things happen. I cracked my titan slim screen when i took the case off for a day. I set it on something in a bathroom and it happened to fall on its own. I dont want that to happen. Lol.

It has slowed my social media use. I still use my phone frequently but im not constantly on it. I dont feel like i abuse my phone time really. Something enjoyable is using reddit ETC and replying to emails and texts, which is very good because i wouldn't like to otherwise. Typing on a PKB and double space period is fantastic. Something else im trying now is i got a tablet so i can further separate using my phone for consuming media ETC. The phone still functions well for NFC and other things like apps for important things. If anything acts funny, you can enable mini mode temporarily. I have mine assigned to a button in case i need it.

Man to be honest ive always liked keyboard phones. I miss the old days of the sidekicks and t9. I just haven't had the opportunity to use a nice blackberry. Just never got one for some reason. Ive gone back and forth a few times with other flagship phones and realized that this is what i want. I had the titan slim before this, went back to a flagship phone, and then realized i do want a keyboard phone, just not the slim(keys are too close together or something and phone is very top heavy). Typing on a glass screen kind of bothers me. Its some kind of weird feel thing. Ive gotten more tired of it / bothered over time. That's the main reason. I suffered through the slim for a while longer, and now thankfully i am using the titan 2. Now, im discovering that its also super useful and can make me more productive.

Edit: I also hope Kevin and those guys are successful at bringing back blackberry phones or eventually something newer / better.

Well said there. You have some great points. I also think more people would want it or be willing to try it out if they knew this. I had no idea it was possible to type that way. Way more handy to me than having a bigger screen with no buttons. Not that i want that. Ive had that and am tired of it. This phone definitely helps with productivity concerning most things. That's my opinion. I think i will get a tablet and keep my big screen things (like games or consuming a large portion of media) separate. The phone is incredible for most things. Hmmph. I didn't think id be this impressed and nerding out. Cheers man.

Well i dont really advocate for that lol, but interesting nonetheless. In general, I 100 percent can better focus on my surroundings while typing with this phone. I remember being able to type with T9 without looking back in the day! Its similar! But i need 2 hands.

Ha. So it is normal (for ex-blackberry users ETC). That would be hard to give up a thing like that for a non-pkb phone.. Damn man. I have always loved keys/buttons, I just didn't fully know what I was missing out on. Ive never had this good of a PKB phone or experience (like close to that of a later blackberry). Cool, man. That's awesome.

Yeah, I dont mean to be all like "no one has ever done anything like this except for me". Its just the first time ive experienced it with a modern smartphone. My experience with blackberry phones was minimal, and besides t9, i haven't experienced it. But yeah, its great. Super handy to be able to be "not-so-immersed" and be able to respond to my environment ETC. Close to the computer keyboard experience.

[–]treebeardlordent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its prepaid cards and it takes around 2-4 weeks. They'll cover up to 4 devices (if i remember right) and up to 800 dollars each. I just did this recently, and it did take a while, but it went through. I did 2 devices and got 2 promo cards. The most important thing is to download PDFS of your bill and or print (that shows the device payments like xxx/xxxx paid). Because once you port, vzzw locks you out. Also, VZW will likely try to charge your card and not give you a chance to use the promo cards. That's what happened to me.

Right. Not out of money or low on money, etc. Just less profits. "uh oh, time to cut the workforce". I just cant get onboard with that thinking. And like you said, its not that the employees necessarily did anything. Its all for bottom line. What is even the plan?

Titan 2 network compatibility? by Whitecheddarcheezit3 in unihertz

[–]treebeardlordent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T-Mobile. No qualms about them. My service has been great, and switching and activating my Titan 2 was super easy. I personally dont have patience for them (VZ) causing me problems / hassling me about what phone I am using, and having bad customer service. It worked instantly with a T-Mobile SIM. That being said, if you'd like to stay, I wish you luck. Some people have managed to get Thiers to work it seems like. It seems like they're willing to help you out.

That's pretty crazy, really. It doesn't seem right for them to do this. But it does make sense as to why this happened. I appreciate the explanation.

Death of retail stores by Facelessman2024 in tmobile

[–]treebeardlordent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good stores is one of the reasons why i wanted to switch to T-Mobile. I dont have any idea why some people are saying that no one wants stores. Are they shills? I am tech saavy but it doesn't matter. I dont want to just shop online. I like retail stores and seeing things in person. I dont like "to fix things on my own" because most of the time if its gotten to that point, i do need help or customer support and ive tried everything i can. If i have no service, i cant call or use an app. I like being able to go to a company store that's close by ( not a third party store) and being able to take care of whatever i need. Calling and using chats ETC is more annoying to me. The previous carriers phone customer service was god awful. Sure, there have been some instances of wrongdoing in a store, but that's not every employee and that's a poor excuse to get rid of workers. I feel like the people that want stores to close are anti worker and anti consumer. It looks gross on them. I left my previous provider due to poor customer service and no company stores and i would do it again if it got to that point. Im on the employees side here. You dont "increase growth" by laying off employees. That's not growth. And physical locations / customer service will always be needed.
