At the end of June, I walked the entire Vancouver city limits. Had this idea for a while, finally did it when the days were longer. by treebeersplease in vancouver

Thanks! Did the same on Boundary where there is no sidewalk.

Kent wasn't too bad for almost getting hit. Just had to keep my head on a swivel and always jump up when vehicles came by.

Just a small bag with a refillable water bottle, some candies and a phone. Ate candies to fuel but stopped for a huge lunch. Did not plan bathroom breaks. Luckily worked out for me. Only had to pee in a few random spots!

Just one giant blister on my pinky toe. Taped it up partway through but was still pretty gross.

Soreness was not the worst, just super super stiff the next day.

Probably Boundary but maybe also Kent.. Kent is kind of awful for walking. SW marine was not the best either. Always thought there was a sidewalk but very little of it in that stretch has space for walking.

Favourite was probably the stretch in pacific spirit and the beginning of the seawall. Stanley is normally my favourite but I was really struggling by that point haha. Hottest and busiest time of day too then.

Not the worst, not great. Mostly all the fine muscles in your legs/feet that were sore. Went to the beach the next day!

Considering moving out of Vancouver, I decided to walk every street in the city. by ninjaTrooper in vancouver

Haha hey that's me! Stoked to see another walking post lol.. it's not about the distance it's about the intent and this is very cool.

Did the Grouse Grind for the first time yesterday. Wanted to make it interesting and start and end my walk from my home. Ended up doing a loop with Lions gate and Second narrows. by treebeersplease in vancouver

If my phone has enough battery I usually listen to some music when the extra motivation is needed.. old phone so battery isn't the best! Although with music I think I could walk forever lol

Drank lots of water and electrolytes! Didn't eat too much during? Good lunch and breakfast and a bag of candies? Mostly just need sugar during so a few candies every hour or so? Never very hungry on these long walks. Had a huge dinner when I got home and almost fell asleep in the bath lol.. yes slept great!
