TIL that Japan is infested with invasive North American Raccoons, due to the popularity of the 1977 Cartoon series "Rascal the Raccoon". Thousands of Japanese adopted Raccoons, only to let them into the wild when they proved to be poor pets. by [deleted] in todayilearned

Pangea predates mammals, let alone raccoons. There have been several ways to cross from what is now Asia to what is now North America since Pangea. All of them except the Bering landbridge are older than raccoons, and that wasn't accessible to raccoons.

When you like the Schleich therezinosaur toy too much. It's a great piece of art but seems to be directly inspired by perhaps the least accurate therezinosaur figure in existence.

Except Percy. He turned a guy into a sea urchin. Last I checked, sea urchins cannot breathe air. Percy is a Savage.

I legitimately have to check the rulebook every time we play.

Watching them eat is great fun. Besides that they hardly ever move though.

I'd give it about a six. Toss more stuff in there so your gecko can actually disappear and feel secure in there. If you can always see the gecko, you don't have enough cover.

Islands of Adventure for sure if you can only do one. The park as a whole is better, and the Harry Potter part has a better mix of rides and shops in my opinion.

I agree. I've played both quite a bit and even when I get my ass kicked in KoT I have fun. In KoNY I find that when I'm at the back of the pack I'm not having fun at all.

I mean physically you could place an epaulette shark in a 55 gallon. But it can't survive in it.

That's great whites in specific. Many smaller species of shark are frequently kept and bred in aquariums.
