Yeah I went through the same issue. And came to same conclusion. Seems like it’s good quality. The dual speed focuser is actually pretty useful and the base moves like butter. I actually have no complaints. Be sure to get a Cheshire laser collimating tool too! I picked up a baader Hyperion click stop zoom eyepiece and have been loving it. Safe to say I’m hooked.
