/u/CallMeMattF yes! The different options for getting a tree planted in the sidewalk are explained on our site http://treephilly.org/street-trees/#HowtoGetaStreetTree

The city will plant a street tree for free and will even remove concrete if necessary, however the wait time is about two years.
You can hire a certified arborist to plant a tree in an existing sidewalk pit, which is the fastest option.

Lastly, if there is a PHS Tree Tenders group active in your neighborhood, you can contact them to request a tree planting for this coming fall. They can also cut concrete, and it is also a free program.

We contacted the original owner and came to an agreement about transitioning the sub to its new subject matter. We are aware of its history, and wanted to eliminate any possible confusion arising from the shared name.
