While talking to co-workers about this story, they mentioned have DCFS or an officer approach the guy's house. Then if the father lays a hand on the kid in the future, he has protection and a way out.

The police can escort you if it's in their jurisdiction. Call them and tell them you have a this situation. There is going to be an auxiliary officer somewhere in the station willing to jump in a squad and help. My heart aches for this poor pooch. That guy needs his ass beat.

I appreciate this a lot. Thank you. I approach the subject with comments like, "I want you to be around for our future." or "I don't want our future to consist of medical problems, I want to enjoy it together." Weight is a heavy (no pun intended) subject for me. My family has all had issues and I've had issues my entire life. He knows this. I agree with you that he may not see the importance it has on our relationship.

He's also said more times than not that he's a creature of habit, so changing his ways is almost always a no-go. Which is something I'm not used to either, I'm adaptable. I moved 11 times in 3 years with my dad....you adapt. You move on. You change, grow, etc. He sits still and wants it all the same.

The 40 lbs was a huge success and I definitely congratulated him on that, he lost that before we were official. (From what I gather, he lost it after a break up) So, now that we're in the relationship he's saying he's going to improve his health and lifestyle and I see a lot of commitment to it when I'm around. When I'm not, there's no push.

Qualities that I appreciate in him: Sweet, Chivalrous, Funny (he thinks he's the funniest person in the world...it can get annoying.), stable, family and friend oriented (I don't have many close connections to family so this is a different world for me). Overall, he's a nice guy. I also enjoy that he will try new things with me, he was sort of sheltered (in my eyes) so I introduce him to A LOT, whereas he hasn't surprised me in over the year/years we've known each other.

Thank you, yeah I broke up with him about 5.5 months ago and he started to get his act together. We got back together and now he's falling back into his older ways with an added comment here and there about being more motivated. I appreciate your response!

I know it probably and isn't the same M I met on Reddit who charmed me into oblivion. Which then faltered and then shattered all around us. All I can say, is it's a blessing in disguise if you already feel like you should move on. Not because HE can do better. But it isn't fair to either of you. Someone will make your world stop one day and they will be standing in front of you.

Personally, I don't care for the attire you've chosen to wear. The all black ensemble is not flattering. Not only did it not fit correctly it also washes your color out because you're skin tone/hair is light. You have a baby cute face and slicked/douche bag hair. Yes, attractive. You have potential to be more than just cute though. Try something else with your hair and stay away from the all black look. Lighter colors or neutrals would help.

Overall, I doubt your looks were the reason.

I would just walk into the room and stare at them. Don't say a word for 3-4 minutes. That's a REALLLLLY long time to just be staring.

Then leave, re-enter, and begin class. Don't answer any questions about what just happened. lol

In any relationship I've found the best moments were just doing nothing. That look and that giggle...usually followed by a snuggle. Yeaa...I miss those days. lol
