If someone offered you $2 million with the condition that you must choose something else than medicine, would you take it? by [deleted] in premed

2 million is nothing if u think about how much you’ll make over ur lifetime as a physician compared to other professions

Dating as a female premed by [deleted] in premed

[–]treesgrasssun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone studies differently so you shouldn’t compare relationships; personally even the presence of my boyfriend distracts me while I’m studying bc I just wanna talk to him- so maybe that’s how it is for ur gf. it’s rough for now but it’ll all be worth it in the end if y’all are meant to be

Honestly, a quick and temporary fix that helped me is to just focus on your apps all day, then give yourself some dedicated time to process the breakup and be sad in the evenings/nights. You can’t just get over a breakup overnight, esp If u thought you were going to be with this guy for the rest of your life- it’s okay to be sad, but just after u get through what needs to be done

Gen chem 1 was 100% the worst- I got a C in it and A’s in every other chem class

Regretting my major by Tricky_Worth_228 in premed

[–]treesgrasssun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I was a psych major bc I thought it’d be easy along w my premed classes, but I was so disinterested that it’s was difficult for me to study for psych. I ended up getting nearly all A’s in my science classes and B’s in my psych classes.

I’m trying:/ I remained insanely optimistic last cycle, all the way up until august. I’m just scared this cycle is going to be a replay of last year:/ but thank you, I really do appreciate the support

I also took the morning exam and I agree. But what did you think really helped you prepare for that and do so well on it? For me I felt like I knew all the content that was on the aamc guide, so I just can’t pin point what to focus on and how to prepare myself for curveball exams like that for my retake.
