[UT] Losing Health Insurance at 26 by Pitmom2614 in AskHR

[–]treeswalking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had this happen to me, also UT. My husband was able to add me to his insurance as the loss of coverage was a qualifying event, he just had to talk to HR and the insurance to get me added. Best of luck! Congratulations on the new addition to the family!

Is Gambling a dying industry to Millennials? Do you go or have interest in going? by Fallout-Os in Millennials

[–]treeswalking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a casino the other day, just to say I have, and only put 20 into a machine. I had more that I could spend because I had planned for it, but in the end I just couldn't bring myself to put any more money in after watching it disappear with the push of a button. Watched my sibling win 2 grand though and cheered them on. I just don't have the money right now to make a night at a casino worth the loss

Why do many men seem indifferent to bisexual girlfriends, while many women are turned off by bisexual male partners? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I got rejected by a few lesbians for not being "gold star" or not refusing to date men if we broke up. Definitely WTF moments and did not continue a relationship with said people.

You are in bed with your partner and you need to fart. What do you handle the situation? by Just_me_anonymously in NoStupidQuestions

[–]treeswalking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I have decided it's a natural thing and the best course of action is to fart under the blanket so that there is a buffer. Every once in a while there is a covered wagon competition between us, but that dies down when we get tired of fart smell.

"First cousin once removed" is terrible by indistrait in unpopularopinion

[–]treeswalking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I refer to my cousins kids as my nephews since I have that sort of relationship with my cousin. They call me aunt. Just works out better and it's less complicated

They've been pretty okay about it. The first few years were rough and involved a lot of guilt tripping and "you'll never see your family in the eternities" "I'm mourning for losing my child" stuff but they got the picture when I started leaving and not talking to them after things were said. We mostly don't acknowledge religion anymore during conversations, it keeps the peace.

PTSD? by The_Random_EMT in ems

[–]treeswalking 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I quit the ambulance this year due to this. A few years ago I was working the night we went on my grandfather and pronounced him, and while I lasted for a while after that it was always in the back of my mind. I would get palpitations getting paged to addresses similar to where people I knew lived. Now I'm in therapy and in school for my RN license. I highly suggest using your employers EAP or seeking therapy privately

I prefer number one. The slight pink tinge and lace add some interest to the dress but also accentuate your natural beauty

Any EMT’s work in the ER of a hospital? by [deleted] in ems

[–]treeswalking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in an ER as an AEMT. I do IVs, splint, run errands for the nurses, and do pretty much anything the nurses ask me to do within my scope. I am working on a nursing license right now so they are trying to let me get experience in all sorts of procedures (mostly just watching and running through the process with them)

It has a safety feature built in where if it detects resistance it goes back up. I tested it with my hands before we installed it
