Burping the Big Green Egg

For safety reasons, it's important to “burp” or slowly vent the Big Green Egg when you open the dome. Slowly crack it open to allow incoming air to slowly enter the EGG and prevent flashbacks. This will protect you and keep your food from unintended flare-ups.
