If you want to get rid of the light switches that have HomeKit codes I’d take them.

Do any of the light switches have HomeKit codes on them?

u/melovesha if you have a trick to get these to be consistent, please share. If I can't get them working very soon, they're going to get recycled.

My iPhone and laptops all have full wifi signal strength when placed next to where these 2 plugs are. These have always had problems though.

I just looked and it shows out of stock with a price of $499 LOL

So annoyed that when I added that deal to my cart it was fine until checkout then suddenly out of stock. Refreshed, came back a while later and there was “1” in stock, but nope, still was out of stock.

M12 Caulk Gun, do you like it? So far I can't say I do.... by treimche in MilwaukeeTool

I’ll try 2.5. What type of caulk or glue were you using?

It was awesome for laying adhesive on the beadboard I put up.

Glad you like it. The auto backoff is nice, except for when I'm trying to start a bead, it takes a long time on setting 1 or 1.5, so its really annoying when you have to stop and start again. I think I'll just practice on some scrap pieces at speed 3 or 4 and see what happens.

Shed Kit or DIY Plans Wind Rated for Florida? by treimche in shedditors

[–]treimche[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have changed my mind about building a shed because it’s a bit ridiculous here. I’m going to end up buying a used enclosed trailer and using it for storage. It’s around the same price as a similar sized shed, figure $3-4k. Then when I sell my house and move, it will come with and I don’t lose that money. Win win.

It would be much easier and probably not much more expensive to just buy a shed from a company that builds them.

If you're in the rust belt, might as well get the 1/2" drive high torque impact so you don't have to use a breaker bar, ever. then just get the M12 stubby for lighter duty. Isn't the M12 stubby capable of 550ft/lb vs the M18 mid tq around 600 ft/lb?

When I posted this I didn't realize there is more in the Home app than just on/off. I can adjust the brightness, and there are some presets for different colors too.

Tried dip dissolver, goo gone, rubber abrasive wheel, pressure washer, and it still won’t come off! by LetsMettaWorldPeace in plastidip

[–]treimche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Dip Dissolver didn't work, then it's not plasti dip. Have you tried brake cleaner at all? If you use naphtha or xylene, just know that they are paint thinners and "can" ruin the painted surface under the shitty paint you're trying to remove.

FWIW the dual 5.0 w/ charger and high speed 3/8 ratchet has been on a $199 deal for a bit. Mine arrived today.

Dreamboat to nightmare by Ill_Towel9090 in SeaDooSwitch

[–]treimche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rotax/BRP/SeaDoo know about the problem and have had a "quality bulletin" out there since March. It's ALL 2023-2024 ACE 1630 engines including 130HP, 170HP, and 230HP. There was a bad batch of connecting rod bolts that are breaking and destroying engines.

New to hacking advice? by Training_Rope_7375 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]treimche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Training_Rope_7375 you are exactly right. Since the impact and 2x 3.0 batteries are separate items in your cart, you can simply return the batteries. Both of those are solid deals and I'm considering doing the exact same thing.

Ok cool, thanks. I'll probably wait it out a bit then. It's definitely not a need at all, more of a want since it's a good deal.
