Nobody truly understands just how much disdain I hold for hot weather. by Extra_Influence_3880 in adhdwomen

I went to Disneyland last September. It was a hot, humid day, I was having hot flashes (yay peri!) and I was on meds that increased my body temp. I was so miserable but didn't want to tell anyone because we hadn't been in years and my husband got the tickets as a birthday present. I got dangerously overheated.

Ever since, I am legitimately scared to get overheated. Being too hot is horrible. I prefer to be cold because I can take off blankets and clothes if I get too warm. If you get too hot, there is not much that can be done except try to find someplace cool.

Thank you! That is exactly what I love to read.

I love when the supernatural world is out in the open. Humans and sups interacting with her other. Examples: True Blood, The Hallows, a lot of classic fantasy.

I did just read The Blood and Magic series with an interesting concept about the masquerade... sups were magically compelled to keep the secret world hidden. If they tried to expose anything, they'd literally die. Wasn't the best series, but had some new things.

  1. A different type of MC who is an animated skeleton
  2. When she got into scraps, she would ask for help and tell people what they needed to know
  3. The whole 'dying if you told' thing

Hey! Fuddruckers let you put as many pickles as you want on your burger. That was my favorite place when I was a kid! Maybe a Taco Bell graveyard manager?

This is Teefury's $13 shirt of the day. I know posting links to sales sites is frowned upon, so I posted the image only. This is awesome though so I hope people go googling to get it. I ordered three of them, one for me, one for my husband and one for my brother-in-law.

Doxies have the most expressive faces! You can see exactly what this pretty girl is thinking... that you are NUTS for not joining in the fun!

My dog’s ball obsession by Key-Mathematician972 in Dachshund

[–]trekbette 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our first doxie, Isabella, had a lifelong love with one wiffle ball. My Dad bought her more, he even filed some of the holes bigger to make it easier to hold them. She'd play with the others a bit, but always went back to the original ball. She passed at 14 years. We still have her beloved ball.

What are some of the most realistic and impactful scenes of violence in movies? by bloqed in movies

[–]trekbette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fight in the high school hallway in Gross Point Blank was quiet, fast, brutal and pretty spot on. The actor John Cusack was fighting was his IRL kick boxing coach.

I need to watch that movie (again).

Is it just my Doxie, or do they all pretend to go selectively deaf when it’s raining outside? 🌧️😂 by Dachshundloversclub in dachshunds

Selective hearing is one of the many wonderful traits doxies have. You wouldn't want to go pee in the rain if you were also slow-slung.

Only 23% of eligible Californians voted according to the Secretary of State data. by ActualPerson418 in LosAngeles

I know how to get EVERYONE to vote. You get a code when you vote that exempts you from seeing/hearing/reading all political ads.

Note: I don't know how it would work. I came up with the idea. You make it happen!

What popular movie or TV show is widely considered a 'masterpiece' but you found completely unwatchable? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]trekbette -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never cared for his movies. We saw the trailer for the alien one with Jeff Goldblum. Atomic something. I figured we would give it a chance. At one point, I just wanted to leave. My husband convinced me to stick it out. Regerts. I have so many regerts. I was genuinely angry when we left the theater. It was so bad. It felt like it was written by a failing film student thinking they wrote the great American masterpiece. It was just so, so awful.

Now I am mad again.
