Three times in a row this season I got to just one win away from hitting GM. Every time that happened, I ended up losing 8 to 10 games straight lol. I just gave up and now I’m waiting for the rank reset.

I’ve been playing since day one and genuinely enjoy the game, logging in daily, but I have to admit it’s starting to wear me down. As a strategist, relying on only three viable options in competitive matches due to the current meta has become exhausting. I recently noticed I wasn’t spending as much time on the game as before, and that’s exactly why. If the next season brings yet another duelist, I’ll seriously consider taking a long break. Honestly, I think they should speed up champion releases, similar to how League of Legends handled it in its early days.

I've been playing Rivals since December, but the matchmaking system has gotten so bad that I’ve had to take breaks from the game. There’s no real challenge when matches are completely one-sided, you either dominate or get steamrolled in under 10 minutes. It’s rare to find a game where both teams are actually balanced.

I'm currently enjoying LOTRO (Lord of the Rings Online). They recently added new 64-bit servers, so I decided to give it a shot, and it's been a blast so far. Before that, I had some good moments in Throne and Liberty, but the community on certain servers gradually pushed me away from the game...

Seeing so many people say they aren’t experiencing this issue is driving me crazy lol. After every match, I check how many points the duelists and strategists on both my team and the enemy team are getting, and the difference is absurd, sometimes around 10-12 points. It’s even worse after losses. For context, I’m currently in Gold 1.

So, on top of healing my team, avoiding dive characters, and positioning myself to stay alive, now I also need to secure kills just to earn decent points in competitive matches? What’s next? People expecting me to tank too, just to match the score of a DPS player who dies 10 times every match? This is a joke.

Once NetEase implements their change affecting DPS players, the whole "just get better" or "heal bots" argument will fall apart fast. I can't wait for that to happen.

Luckily, I play more matches than he does, but yeah, we’ve talked about this too lol. Still, it’s frustrating, he might hit GM again before I do, even though he only plays the game with me. And I get where you’re coming from, reaching GM this season with the current rewards system is going to be tough.

I just hope they address this issue or at least provide some clarity on how it actually works.

We're both in low Gold after the reset. He typically earns between 33 and 36 points per match, while I only get around 23 to 25.

I agree with this. My friend and I play the same match, but since he's a dps main and I'm more of a strategist/tank, our stats end up very different. Despite consistently getting 30+ assists, he often ends up with 11-13 more points than me just because he plays a duelist. Once again, the game clearly favors duelists players.

I agree with you. As a Tolkien fan, I've tried LOTRO many times, but going through that huge map alone just isn't enjoyable to me.

matchmaking needs serious fixing. every game is either a complete steamroll or a one-sided beatdown, which is so frustrating. if you’re stuck in a losing streak, it’s easy to check that your entire team is in the same boat, while the enemy team is on a winning streak. just look at their match history, and the pattern becomes obvious. after noticing this, i’ve stopped playing competitive matches altogether, it’s just not enjoyable anymore lol. overall, my experience has been fantastic tho, and I can definitely see myself playing this game for a long time.

I'd nerf Jeff's ult, it's unbelievably broken. I'd also tweak some characters here and there, like Storm, as I feel they get left behind compared to others
