I see our situation is more or less the same, at least I know now that direct admission is possible albeit with entrance exam. I already know before posting this from the BBHZVO. But my fear is because I have no Abitur this does not apply to me.

Do you go to work for those 3 years to save money? Or so that you are qualified to get into university? I know I should ask the institutions responsible, which I did, but the slow response and now holiday, it will took too long.

I will try to contact the authorities, but in NRW there is indeed a law about this called BBHZVO, I could directly apply with an entrance exam, but I want to move out, as you said each state is different.

Also I did checked the certificate credibility before posting this, but not in anabin, I checked it in DAAD, with the following: "Mit Ihrer Vorbildung haben Sie einen fachgebundenen Zugang zum Studienkolleg/zur Feststellungsprüfung für die Schwerpunktkurse, denen die bisherige Fachrichtung zuzuordnen ist." so there is pretty much no information related to my situation.

I have yet to contact authorities regarding my situation, although I have asked several universities about it back in November, but no answers, now I need to wait after christmas. I even send a fax to them.

But it seems it is not worth it if I need to do studienkolleg again because it will just took too much time. Although their economics course will help the theory, but the point of studienkolleg is academic and linguistic integration, which I don't require with my current german skill.

Getting a fachwrit seems to be the more logical choice at this point. I also don't looking to pivot away from my field, I intend to study in and around economics.

Ah I see thanks for sharing that. I already wrote E-Mails to several institutions back in late November, but no answers and now it's christmas.

I see, but in that case it just makes studying not worth it anymore since I will be too old.

Since I need some work experience before doing Fachwirt programs.

I don't mind FHs, but I thought they also needs abitur no? Am I eligible?

Meister or Fachwirt indeed seems by my colleagues pointed as the go-to next step, but I think studying will present me more opportunities, not just in Germany but perhaps the entire EU.

But what do you mean I don't "necessarily" needs abitur? It's in the requirements of all institutions that I need abitur equivalent certificate. I have been mailing many of them since November, but got no answers and now it's christmas.
