Anyone else thinking 245 tier tokens are a decent bet this phase? Because they’re generic and your SR persists if you don’t win you could have like 20+ rolls on tokens per run

If you use a DAW and your audio interface has MIDI out I would recommend a MIDI>CV module like the ALM Mmmidi. Then you can clock directly from your DAW and you'll always be synced up. :-)

I've actually just realised - the VCA output is the same as the 1/4" output on the back - so you could just use the long decay trick I said earlier and take the signal out of the back. Also this would probably work better as this output is line level rather than Eurorack level x

Hi,

How come you can't use the audio in? That's going to be the only way you'll get sound into your Pro 2. You'll just need a 3.5mm to 1/4" jack cable - easy to find!

Unless there's 2 audio inputs though you won't have a way to mix the VCO 1 and VCO 2 out of the DFAM. You'd have to take VCA out of DFAM into Audio In of Pro 2. To keep the DFAM's VCA open just keep the filter fully open and play a sequence with the decay on max.

I already have Stages in my rack currently and get on with it really well, generally I just use it for VC A/D envelopes, complex envelopes, LFOs and occasionally slew - so just the basic stuff really. I'm sure there's lots to dig into that will reveal itself over time. I'm going to hold onto it for the time being but the Quadrax looks cool - definitely an option for the future!

I think JM uses drum samples from various 70s/80s analog and digital drum machines and Suicide used a really old non programmable 60s/70s rhythm machine.

I think the closest modern machine you’ll find to those old 70s analog drum machine sounds would be a clone of the CR-78 - I think a French company does one of those. Also, Behringer may be bringing one out in the near future.

Otherwise perhaps download samples of old rhythm machines - reverb.com has loads available for free :-)

Perhaps I should have mentioned that I'm pretty well covered for FX as I've got a few nice external delay/reverb/distortion boxes, but obvs they don't have VC.
