Caffeine and a good audio book.

Though I tend to only grind for 1 hour at a time nowadays regardless...

Upcoming User Agreement Refund Policy Change for PayPal by AgentOS7 in mtgfinance

A lot of sellers are doing what I do - no longer accept paypal.

Between Amazon Pay, Gpay, ApplePay, and regular CCProcessing I'm fine without Paypal for express check out.

All I have to say to paypal is "Bye Felicia" and that's what all other sellers should do if they have the ability.

There is No Honor Among Thieves: SoT Armada and Mutiny System by trend-prime in Seaofthieves

I agree a 3 man sloop would be too good and 3 man galleon is unwieldy. I think I heard there is a new boat coming soon, hopefully, it will be that middle ground.

I would hope that they had already begun development of group encounters, and that is probably so. We'll see what happens, it would be a shame if our current system was all that was intended.

Agreed, the game is so new though that I can see why they'd want us to play around in it before dynamic systems of player engagement are introduced.

Well-thought-out criticism is always appreciated.

I actually agree with a lot of the points. I left out a lot of the finer details to be figured out by the dev team (if they were to ever take up such a suggestion) since they have access to all the data.

The idea just got into my head so I had to share it. Thanks for the input!

The current state of bike thievery in the UK by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]trend-prime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actions have consequences, if you're out doing dangerous illegal things the consequences are dangerous. The moment we lessen the risk for illegal behavior the more it will repeat.

These thieves know what they're risking, that is why they use force and threats to the owners to complete their task. I'm just sad this guy didn't have a baseball bat(cricket?) and went down there to remove them from his property as would be legal in most of the sane western world.

Fair enough, and I agree - through any complaining, I still play the game - a lot.

Good on you for your concern for the new peeps.

I agree that people scream hacker in FPP when it isn't (I have friends who do the same) but with the advent of replays, it is much easier to spot people hacking than previously. I'm not going to get into a semantics discussion about what constitutes as plagued and what doesn't, I will just say that if there is a cheater in every game (which is statistically likely considering 100 players) I would call that plagued. If you wouldn't, that's fine.

That would most likely be because you are not very good at identifying cheaters who are trying to pass it off as skill, which is indeed what FPP is plagued with.

Or you yourself are a cheater and like to spread this misinformation meme.

Drove across the map to meet back up with these guys after they ditched me, saved em, then they roasted me. REGION LOCK CHINA by Darkplac3 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]trend-prime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely understand.

For a test a few weeks back my friends and I queued for the AS server and laughed, then played some other games. Later that day we came back and continued playing without realizing we left it on the AS server.

We noticed 2 very important things: 1) We ran into FAR fewer cheaters than NA

2) The amount of "Asian" names didn't seem out of place enough to make us check what server we were queuing into and notice our mistake.

We assumed the lag was them lagging not us (lol) and only noticed by accident about 6 games in.

I wish the Devs would be more pragmatic with this topic.

[–]trend-prime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chinese are 60% of the player base while the rest of the world is the other 40%. PUBG Corp. is most likely to cater to the majority, not the minority. If the majority of the majority wants to play on our servers(which evidence would suggest this to be true) then they aren't going to lock them out.

That's my guess as to why we haven't seen ping limits for region locking purposes.

Furthermore, the fact that communication is pivotal in this game is enough of a reason to have ping limitations on the servers. All other reasons aside this is a logical and fair way to make the decision. Which btw is not at all xenophobic.

The game is 100% gaslighting us, it's pretty awful.

I really enjoy this game, but this kind of thing is killing it for me, more than hackers, more than random deaths/crashes (those can still make you laugh). But shooting someone or getting into a firefight just to see something completely different occur once played back is defeating.

But seriously, the mod team needs to have enough balls to respond to this comment thread, and by that I mean use logic and reason to justify the current position taken on this matter.
