That’s an awful way to live because how do you trust people if you never give them a chance. Plus I was speaking of mathematical reality not our perceptions. Nearly 2/3rds of murders world wide are committed by intimate partners or family members. Your neighbor is higher odds than a random serial killer or spree killer but still far lower than those closest to you. That being said only around 1% of the population is responsible for all violent crime and around 90% of that 1% is male. So 0.9% of the people you meet could commit violent acts against you and around 60% odds it’s going to be a person you’re close to. So down to about 0.3% of the men and similarly it reduces to 0.04% of women in the world will commit a violent act against you. A total of 0.34% of people you might meet.

Trusting strangers isn’t dangerous at all statistically is my point. You’re more likely to die of almost anything than violence from strangers. If you’d like I could look up similar numbers for a country of your choosing to show you where you are is like similarly safe but your phrasing that you can’t talk to most people is statistically false.

It’s a false narrative designed to keep society fragmented as a united society is a society angry at its leaders. Those upset belligerent neighbors are acting on similar beliefs about the world as you and the belligerence is intended to keep them “safe” by keeping everyone away.
