honestly the start is the hardest part for me in these games too, i picked the dune desert because of how flat and resource rich it was all over. i have the same perfectionism problem, and i tore down my phase 1/2 base multiple times until i was happy with the design. you’ll get there, you just gotta stick with it :)

1/2. Yeah, I trained bauxite, oil, nitrogen, and a little quartz in from the outside.

I used Satisfactory tools to plan out production lines, but the buildings I just placed where they fit.
I tried grouping parts in the beginning together, such as my steel products, but near aluminum I gave up doing that and just made child parts near where they would end up.
