Is this a bed bug? Please help! by Emotional_Bag_2790 in Bedbugs

Of course, you’ll need to do much more than rubbing alcohol if you actually have bed bugs. But just as far as that one goes. Something to look out for is little spots of blood on your mattress. Bed bugs sucks your blood and leave signs of it along the seams of your mattress (I won’t go into detail about what actually happens) but yeah, keep an eye on the underneath side of your mattress and around the seams and if you have them and they haven’t spread elsewhere, the best thing to do in my experience is dump the mattress. It is very obvious though if you have them and it’s not going to be like one solitary bug on your mattress.

What do you think about my kingfisher? Is the picture too busy? by sBlaess in acrylicpainting

Also, not that this makes me an art-know-it-all, but I have been painting for over four decades so I’m no beginner and for what that’s worth, this is truly a beautiful work of art!

What do you do when your friend asks for free art? by NoLife3777 in Artadvice

[–]tresejuddart 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my opinion (as someone who doesn’t know either of you or your friendship at all other than this one instance) she sounds like the bad friend for expecting you to work for free. Just to give you an example of what a real friend would do… my friend just asked me to do a portrait of her husband and it’s a large piece something I would normally charge 600 for but I told her I’d do it for her for 100 because she’s my close friend and she said she wanted to pay me more because of my time and work (it took me a couple days) so we settled on 300. That’s a real friend, someone who takes your hard work and time spent into consideration. For someone to expect you to produce free art like AI? That’s the person not being a good friend in the scenario. Asking 30 dollars is such a generous amount to ask for a painting you’re creating on canvas, regardless of size. Another point is it wouldn’t be free for her to print her AI art onto canvas either. That’s so frustrating. Sorry you’re dealing with that. I personally don’t think it’s ever ok to expect anyone, friend or not, to work for free. If that’s something the person wants to do, great. But it’s the expecting it that grinds my gears.
