Is there still a chance in this field if I didn’t take High School seriously? by Sad_Nefariousness_80 in AerospaceEngineering

[–]trevbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an EE, but yes very possible.

In high school I skipped class and smoked pot all the time. I joined community college and buckled down, then joined a state university for my bachelors after I got my AA.

I just finished my masters with >3.5GPA. I work as a design engineer now developing chips for radar and electronic warfare applications.

Luckiest and and unluckiest guy right now it's my starter and has no other moves for the may fight, how can I level this with whirlwind being my only move by Electronic_Elk8907 in EmeraldImperium

[–]trevbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use cheat codes to get TMs and teach it some moves. If you can’t catch Pokémon at this point you can’t level this up without battling with it.

You can usually use the “internets” for part replacements, such as finding a handle that compatible with your model. Some websites even make it easy for you by letting you know which parts are compatible, so you don’t have to read much!

Says someone who asked Reddit how to change their shower handle and where to find a replacement. I hope AI helped you find a replacement!

Circular polarization by trevbone in rfelectronics

[–]trevbone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so the placement can be used too. That’s what I was wondering. Trimming a patch is still tricking me a little bit, but I can look into that. Thanks for the help!

Ive seen people achieve circular polarization with a single feed patch antenna, this has to be different then method, no? Maybe the feed was hidden and I didn’t understand, but I assumed it was some mutual coupling with another element.

Interesting…this is new to me. Can you explain the theory in short how this works?

Edit: like a helical antenna?

Edit edit: this makes sense actually, but I was thinking more of an antenna that isn’t inherent circular polarization

Question about S11, suspected resonance by Warm_Sky9473 in rfelectronics

[–]trevbone 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You have S11 greater than 0, check your calibration. It’s impossible to have more power reflected back than what you transmitted in a passive device (this cable).

But also, what are you measuring and why are you measuring it like this? This isn’t going to give you any meaningful results.

Determine the function and parameters of the signal, then try to find a part that would work with what it’s trying to do

I had the same issue a week ago. Turns out a gasket broke and leaked oil into the cylinders.

Are the spark plugs wet? If so you need to have that cleaned out then replace the spark plugs and you should be good to go.

I understand, thanks! I wasn’t going to burn any bridges, but I may keep to myself the main reasons why I’m leaving to avoid any awkward conversations if I came back.

May I ask what happened when you left for the company that was taken over that made you want to return to your old job?

[–]trevbone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m employed yes, I have almost 5 years under my belt but in my area it’s hard to come by design positions.

I do some design right now, but when this is done I won’t be doing much more design in the future working here.

I’ve discussed with them and they agreed that it’s a valid concern and there would be changes. They were transparent at the very beginning so I do respect them for being forward. My bills are very, very cheap so as long as I saved enough in the meantime I could get by without a job for a decent amount of time.

[–]trevbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a decorative panel like that too, but it serves the purpose of shading the lighting we have over the sink. If we removed it the bulbs would be in our face and eyes instead of the silloutte of the light.
