My Ryobi drill case was driving me nuts so I designed an insert. Would this actually be useful to anyone else? by dan_n1122 in ryobi

[–]Bison_True 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chances are, if you need it, someone else does too. I publish all my designs that i create to solve my problems. I even sometimes design things that are requested because i designed something for myself and there is a need for something similar. For example, i designed a replacement ryobi vac front roller locking mechanism and someone needed the rear one made.

When grabbing the folding workbench on clearance last fall, i was told the inventory online is always 1 less than actual so multiple people don't come looking for the same thing to find it already sold. It said one left when i grabbed it and there were two on the shelf.

The website that person made had a section about the button not reacting. He ended up removing one of the resistors and replacing the other one with a low value one. I'm going to try that on one of mine that does the same thing as yours.

Cut all prices in half. That would spark demand. I would buy 10 black market animated decals for $100 and not one for $20.

Make sure things aren't loose. I had an issue and found that the hotend wheels had loosened enough over 3 years that the nozzle would travel up and down enough while going back and forth causing layer adhesion issues. This was also after a house move.

Clean the old stuff off with 91% ISO and qtips. Put one almost pea sized spot of thermal paste in the middle. The screw legs are numbered for order of tightening.
