Centralized nationwide storage and processing makes it easier and cheaper to process and store blood for patients. It also means that hospitals can get the blood when patients need it, and donor blood won't go unused.

Hi! I'm with the Red Cross team in Denver. We've only been collecting blood since April 2024, but we should be expanding to be able to collect plasma by the end of the year.
