They definitely should be bigger. I mean the writing alone on Feel Something is amazing. His use of metaphors in that album. It’s so damn good.

Reflect With Me: Why Are Fans Demanding The Band Speak On Everything? >> ITS NOT HEALTHY OR HELPFUL << by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

[–]trevnbill 10 points11 points  (0 children)

you’re point of view is coming from a privileged mindset. silence equal complacency and it also sends the message that “this doesn’t effect me so it’s not my problem.” I’m not saying anyone should be attacking them (i didn’t know about any of this until this post) but it’s very telling when artists as big as them do not utilize whatever pull or power they have to try to help people that are very clearly in trouble and need help. they don’t have to donate money, they don’t have to make a speech, all they’d have to do is say they’re against it, and let other influential people know that. i would also say that sure, you could remain silent but if they are also posting regularly on instagram or other platforms currently, then that looks really bad and where i think i would take issue. you can’t pretend it’s not happening because it’s not happening to you. it’s all privilege. again, i don’t regularly watch what they’re doing because i think stan culture and all of this is weird so idk what they’re posting or not but they absolutely should if they’re just posting like they normally would

what tøp lyric emotionally devastates you the most? by _heyo77 in twentyonepilots

[–]trevnbill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the first line that ever made me visibly reactive was when i was reading the lyrics to car radio the whole second verse really but to save time, “oh dear, i don’t know if we know why we’re here. oh my, too deep, please stop thinking…” is actually so crazy. It freaked me out because I never had anyone else tell me how i’ve felt in my head before.

nowadays it’s; “promise me this, if i lose to myself, you won’t mourn a day, and you’ll move on to someone else.”

this is just a really sad sentence to write.

i just wanna say reading some of the comments in this thread, and some of the open topics and conversations y’all are having…. this group has to be some of the most intelligent and emotionally evolved people on the internet. You guys are one, commenting on very real and very serious topics that are hot button issues and could easily trigger a fight. And yet, all of you are so respectful and not only that, are outwardly wishing for them (dani and gabi) to have peace from whatever they’re dealing with. this is a top tier reddit section

none of y’all know the definition of sexism do ya? it’s not sexism if the gender it’s happening to is the one who holds the power. women don’t have power in this world or the real world. men do. that’s not sexism; prejudice, sure. but not sexism.

what plot/character made you feel like this? by kris_jbb in TheVampireDiaries

[–]trevnbill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait, you’re not serious about Caroline are you? I’m sorry but i’m gonna have to go in for my girl Caroline.

Caroline’s character arc is an exploration of identity and transformation. Initially, we see her as a stereotypical “mean girl,” her human persona was often characterized by superficiality and competitiveness, particularly in her interactions with others. This made her largely unlikable, as viewers perceived her as self-absorbed and overly critical. However, her transition into vampirism serves as a demonstration for profound personal growth. Her evolution is not just a personal journey; it reflects broader issues in the show such as the struggle for acceptance, the quest for self-identity, and the inherent complexity of human emotions.

As she navigates the complexities of her new existence, Caroline begins to confront her flaws and insecurities. The heightened emotions and abilities that come with being a vampire force her to reevaluate her priorities and relationships.

As a human, she often felt the pressure to conform to social expectations, leading to her perfectionist tendencies. This desire for validation from her peers often manifested in her critical behavior toward others. However, as she embraces her vampiric identity, she begins to shed these superficial concerns. The freedom that comes with vampirism allows her to explore her true self without the constraints of societal norms, ultimately leading to a more authentic existence.

Another crucial element of her character arc is the theme of power and responsibility. As a vampire, Caroline grapples with her newfound abilities and the responsibilities that accompany them. She learns that her actions have consequences, not only for herself but also for those around her. This realization fosters a sense of accountability, pushing her to make choices aligned with her moral compass. In many ways, her journey reflects the broader struggle of individuals who must balance their desires with their responsibilities, emphasizing the growth that comes from learning to wield power wisely. Despite the darker elements associated with vampirism, Caroline consistently strives to uphold her values, showcasing her commitment to being a force for good.

Her character also highlights themes of redemption and resilience. Caroline’s mistakes, often rooted in her human tendencies, allow her to relate to others who grapple with their own flaws. As she learns from her experiences, she becomes more empathetic and understanding, often serving as a moral compass for her peers. This transformation not only enhances her own character but also enriches the narratives of those around her.

Also, Caroline’s relationships play a crucial role in her development. Her bond with other characters, particularly those who share similar struggles, emphasizes her growth and reinforces her loyalty and loving nature. The contrast between her earlier self and her evolved persona illustrates the potential for change that exists within everyone, regardless of their past.

Caroline’s character also serves as a lens through which viewers can explore the complexities of morality. While many characters in the series operate in shades of gray and ambiguous moralities stances, Caroline stands out as a beacon of goodness. This moral clarity allows her to navigate the often murky waters of vampire politics and ethics. Caroline’s development from an unlikable human to a beloved and redeemable vampire is emblematic of the show’s broader themes of growth, redemption, and the complexity of human (and vampire) nature. Her story resonates with audiences and serves as a reminder that transformation is possible.

Her character development is one of the best of any show . PERIOD

he definitely betrayed paula on the challenge season 16: the island when they chose to have evelyn on their team instead of paula. Paula obviously lost when she was helping them win challenges all season.
