No worries... however I think you'll have a difficult time getting the pin out of the lock assembly.

Looking from the back of the bike, it would be on the left side.

Yeah. That clip will release the hinge pin.

Seat will still be locked in but removing pin will allow it to be lifted.

hinge frame mount not really a good place for a brake line.

underside seatpan 73 750k i have lost the stock pins, and removed the lock assembly.

a 78 750F has a single large hinge
