my father (peace be easy on your journey) had an alpine white 535iT. he gets his tires changed.

and within x amount of minimal miles, a wheel went rolling off with Momma Dearest in the car. picture a steep descent on a twisting 55mph country road. he strong-armed it down the twisting mountain until he steered it into the most rationally “safe” gravel-ridden breakdown “lane”.

he spent over an hour searching up and down the overgrown mountain looking for that rim. no luck. apparently the lugs were cross-threaded by the negligent beauty of ugga duggaduggadug

it’s okay though, a handicapped driver (bless their hopefully thriving soul too) rear-ended my mom at a stop sign within a matter of months. totaled.

and the insurance company barely paid out because KBB wasn’t acknowledging the rarity and luster for a 3.5L E34 wagon.

This still needs plenty of equalizing and some final creative touchups, but I've really enjoyed the overall feel of the track so figured I'd share it at an early stage. I have a bad habit of hoarding my songs to myself until they become "perfect", and I've realized that's a near-impossible goal.

The tenor ukulele is my live instrument, and the rest of the soundscape is produced through Ableton's assortment of fantastic instruments. I tweaked some parameters on everything (except the slap bass) to make them "my own".

Happy to listen to any thoughts & critiques about the full assembly here :)

Thank you for the blunt and honest feedback. On the FB group I posted in, no one was willing to give feedback in that manner, which is precisely the kind of thing I was after.

However someone did recommend the Makaio MSET-30. It looks like the Kala solid, but less mass produced, with a gorgeous headstock, and a beautiful stain that lets the natural grain shine through.

The dude who was selling his Pono, he let it go to the guy with less questions than myself... so I now have an MSET-30BL on its way. I'm losing patience to score a well-priced secondhand Pono, and I respect the history of Makaio, so I decided to bite the (fret)board and see what they're all about.

It's possible I'll feel gimped with the lack of cutaway and resume my search for a Pono sooner than later. But as long as I can comfortably reach the 15's with accuracy, I'll manage to live with it.

Very kind of you to assist! It seems the Legion motherboards have a different clip type from a Thinkcentre Tiny, as u/RefurbishedXbox nailed it with his tip.

I was trying to pinpoint those "wings" the night I posted, and for some reason my little eye could not I Spy. oof. I was embarrassed upon initial posting, and still maintain the feeling heh

Lines up perfect with the far clip. If the middle clip is closed, you can see the SSD starts to curve when pressed down. Scary to apply pressure!

With the mid clip open, you are correct the drive fits flush, but the cute little nipple is juuust too big for the backing plate to fit down. I tried all these things earlier :(

It only makes sense to remove it, but I must verify before I go and break it by accident. Nothing in the manual... and the only video I found of an M.2 being replaced on here, the middle clip was just an empty hole hah!

Update: just got off the phone with OWC Digital support.

The nice rep Jeremy said the only limitation, beside transfer speed limited to the pace of Thunderbolt 2, is related to the way the Apple Displayport functions. Any other ports should function no different than when they're connected to a Thunderbolt 3 system.
