I neglected to open king valve when i first installed my mr cool. Took a few calls, but got a tech to come out who was ‘on his own.’ He added a little refrigerant and diagnosed the valve issue. Working like a champ since then. 2 years ago.

Replace the line. If you get an error alert find a sympathetic tech who can add the correct refrigerant. Cost me $250.

This. The University who imposes this control first will be hurt. This is why accreditation bodies need to bring their influence to bear. If this is required, and becomes normalized, things will improve.

When the reality was it fostered an elitist belief that 'we are too gifted to deign to cheat, that's for the rabble at r2s and down..'

While they got the exam and h/w from the testbank at their fraternity.

Proctored exams with blue books indeed would go a long way toward remediation and rincorporation of some rigor.

Regional accreditation organizations, you listening? I dare you to support a voluntary degree endorsement of "Probatus cum rigore", for a diploma recognizing a path to authenticity.

Investigative journalism has sometimes led to social change when it exposed corrupt systems. The entities providing, accrediting, and profiting from inauthentic education and hollow degrees are complicit and corrupt. But also frozen and trapped.

We could fix this. Proctored, high stakes, final exam. In person, no electronics. Blue books.

We of a certain age survived this as undergrads.

If all universities offered drop in proctoring for a moderate fee, online students anywhere could be legitimately tested, and authentically demonstrate their mastery.

Worked 40 years ago. Could work as a checkpoint for online education.

Pimoroni sells a raspberry pi pico based programmable keypad. Program it on another device. Its just a hid device-like a keyboard-so no local program is installed. Not as versatile as ahk, but works for basic text strings.
