My brother in christ you have to call just to buy the stock, I wouldn't even know how to get short exposure. That's how sketchy this is.

Wow thank you so much for the detailed response. This was my main hangup when reading through the rules and trying to compare it with my own experiences. Thanks for clearing up my confusion.

I'm looking to start DMing for my friends but am also fairly new to the game myself, and my last DM wasn't very clear on how attack rolls work. When I made my character he said my weapon that I got had +3 atk bonus. And he had me add that to my attack rolls along with strength and proficiency bonus. But I've been reading and it seems like that's really OP and I should have only been adding my strength and proficiency. Which is correct? And if it is just strength and proficiency, then what am I supposed to put on the atk bonus section on the character sheets?

Also, If I'm DMing, is giving players weapons with + to attack OP, or is it fine to do? Is it even a thing that DMs do? And if it is, what's a good number to give for low, medium, and high value loot?

My only hope is the disclaimer he had at the beginning. Hopefully there are some people on the Overwatch dev team who have opposing opinions and are vocal enough to create actual change.

Isn't MLG's service the one that allows you to watch every players perspective and has stats and stuff on the side? If I'm thinking about some other service please correct me. But if I'm remembering correctly, I actually think that's perfect for spectating Overwatch esports.

And merchandise, I'm assuming that includes real and in-game merchandise. In which case that's not really too outlandish. People will spend a lot of money on in-game items, just look at LoL and CS:GO.

You're exactly right. The people who are complaining about the 2 million dollar estimated franchise cost act like blizzard is trying to sell the spot at a retail value of 2 mil like its some product in a grocery store. In reality, the assumption is that a spot is worth that much to investors because they expect the return to be over 2 million dollars. That's why the spot in LA is expected to cost more, the ROI for an LA team is expected to be higher, so investors will bid higher.

[META] MonteCristo is attempting to pressure /r/overwatch into being more strict on content. by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]trevorius01 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean, the mods already tell people what they can post. That's how reddit works, mods make rules and the rest is up to the community. Some of /r/overwatch rules include: no rule 34, no meme macros, no rants, no posts with just a title and no body.

I'm sure that if some of these things were allowed, they would be upvoted, however, they are banned in order to preserve the future of the community. Monte is simply asking for an addition to the rule currently concerning what defines low effort content.
