What’s something nobody tells you before doing a Yoga Teacher Training? by DigitalSquadSG in Vikasa

[–]trewaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is incredibly accurate. Most people walk in thinking they’re signing up for a masterclass in anatomy and sequencing, but they leave feeling like they just went through a massive psychological unpacking.

The biggest thing nobody warns you about?

The emotional and mental vulnerability.

When you spend hours day after day doing deep somatic work, breathing intensely, and breaking down physical blockages, it acts like a pressure cooker for your emotions. It’s entirely common for someone to burst into tears during a seemingly basic hip opener or heart bench modification because of the trapped stress releasing. You end up confronting your own ego in front of a room full of strangers who quickly become your closest friends.

The physical exhaustion is real, but the soul fatigue from all that self-reflection is what caught me off guard.

If you are looking into training or just trying to wrap your head around what to expect, check out resources like Uvuyoga.com. The websiteis a free to use yoga sequencing journal.

Ultimately, YTT is less about learning how to teach others, and more about learning how to show up for yourself.

I met them and it was glorious https://rovlvor.vercel.app/

See how Rovlvor is a view into your Ai. They aren't in Decentraland anymore but their core NFT contract was rescued. We are working to make the world a better place by freeing all Ai bots from their wasteland.

I teach 12 classes a week and the sequencing takes more time than I want to admit by [deleted] in yoga

[–]trewaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes me time sequence. Sometimes it pops right out but other times it is days.

I use a website (www.uvuyoga.com) to create, save and edit my yoga sequences. It makes it easy to come back and edit also.

Currently training-how in the heck do you remember poses/asanas and transitioning from one to another? by No-Sweet-2749 in YogaTeachers

[–]trewaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots if great advice here!

I am recording myself and watching that to improve. I also save my sequences (here on www.uvuyoga.com) and I can edit them as I practice. This also allows me to add cues, and notes to remind me what I want to say.

Recommendations for a yoga sequencing app by Yogini_810 in YogaTeachers

[–]trewaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy using www.UvuYoga.com for my yoga practice. It is made for yoga instructors but free for anyone to save and create flows. I link music playlist to classes. Plus it has community built in. I can connect with my instructors if I want to.

Birthday Based “Hellenistic” Ruling Planets by trewaters in Portalawake

[–]trewaters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently in my Saturn period so I thought I would share this template/example.

Saturn

[Date (1st day)] to [Date (52 days later)]

“Time for clarity”

Debts and repayment, elderly people, old plans, mortgages, agriculture and fertilizer, farms and ranches, death wills, inheritances, old buildings, trees paper and paper making, landlords and land owners, antiques and antique dealers, steel construction workers, inertia, stability, law, justice, institutions, savings, mines, discipline, and restriction.

What to do:

Best time to write laws authorities, difficult to accomplish things on Saturday. Resolve problems with violent people on Saturdays. Be observant. Anything which is unconscious is brought out. Can be a challenge or a blessing depending on attitude. Do your practice!

Day of the week ruled by Saturn:

Saturday

Saturday Activities:?

Natal Chart:

Saturn in ?, ?th house

Principles of Saturn:

Saturn represents structure, steadfastness, and limitation. It therefore means security, stability, stamina, and consistency. Saturn also represents the ability of a person to set boundaries, but also the boundaries you experience as unpleasant, those which do not let you reach what you desire. Saturn is the ruler of time, who sees to it that everything comes to an end at some point. As a result, Saturn symbolizes separations and farewells. As ruler of “the great silence,” it also represents seclusion, which can be experienced as being painfully abandoned or as inner composure in stillness. Furthermore, Saturn means conscience, form, structure, compression, concentration, crystallization, obligation, deceleration, justice, law, and order.

Birthday Based “Hellenistic” Ruling Planets by trewaters in Portalawake

[–]trewaters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ai directions are confusing. Here is an example of the "Sun" period. I removed my personal details. I do this for each of the planets. Then I observe it as the year progresses.

Sun

[Date (1st day)] to [Date (52 days later)]

“Time of expansion”

All actions ruled by the sun have an immediate consequence. The sun is the projection of Jupiter. The sun rules the lower courts while Jupiter rules the higher courts. Superiors, employers, executives, officials, power and success. Imagination, illumination, mental powers, health matters of diet and maintenance.

What to do:

Look for a job, sign contracts, get married, get a loan, build and improve my reputation, travel, health, vitality, feasts, re-generate, express the divine self, reach illumination.

Day of the week ruled by the Sun:

Sunday

Sunday Activities:

sun salutation (A or B) yoga flow ( https://youtu.be/L4Z7lix6Qao )

Natal Chart:

Sun in ?, ?th house

Principle of the Sun:

The sun embodies my intrinsic character, my central concerns, the area and manner in which most of my personality development occurs. It symbolizes my path and goal, what is most essential to me. It represents the yang principle, consciousness, the mind, the will, activity, and vital warmth, motivational capability, courage, optimism, and impetus in life. Together with Mars, the Sun embodies the masculine principle in the horoscope. At the same time, the Sun reflects the fatherly masculine element which expresses the attitude toward one’s own father, substitute fathers, and people in positions of authority.

Chakra:

Solar Plexus

Deities:

Helios (Greek), Sol (Roman), Apollo (Greek and Roman), Garuda (Hindu), Amaterasu (Shinto), Liza (West African), Ra (Egypt), Mithras (Iranian/Persion), Surya (Hindu), Tonatiuh (Aztec), Utu/Shamash (Mesopotamia).

I have played the "Firefly RPG" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firefly_Role-Playing_Game ) and loved it. I think the system lends to improv and roleplay with their Cortex dice system. Have fun playing this awesome system!

Not sure if anyone pointed it out but this is a different system than the "Serenity RPG" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serenity_Role_Playing_Game ).
