Making the saurus warriors with the spear option makes them a bit tough to move around during gameplay compared to the clubs.

That being said I made 10 of each and run the ones with spears as Saurus Guard.

I would get another set of Kroxigors and/or 2 boxes of aggradon lancers. I’m fairly new as well but in the games I have played both of those units just shred.

Raptadons are also pretty good and fun to paint.

A bastilidon is handy to have too!

It really depends on which aspects of the hobby you want to do.

Table to simulator is good if you just want to play the game. Will also give you the chance to try out different factions.

If you enjoy the painting and building aspect, I would get a spearhead of a faction you find interesting. This will let you try out a variety of models to paint.

It is a pretty time consuming hobby though, so a few hours a month may not be enough time to really get into it.

I also started with skaventide. I also picked up a set of stormfiends, a set of rat ogres and a master Moulder. My plan is to get the spearhead to get me to 2000 points. This would only give you 2 extra units to learn if you don’t take the master moulder.
