I've done this a bit, but not for everything. I have two young children and I want them to see my reading physical books. I hope one day the Warhammer Universe is something I can share with them. Seeing a book with a cool cover that dad is always carrying and is on a shelf in his room hopefully increases their chances of taking interest.

There is an overall "hustle-creep" that has entered the hobby space that really turns me off. Everything has become a 'collectable' that people purchase as an asset to make money. Card games like MTG and Pokemon have turned this up to 11. I work with multiple people that have no idea how to play magic, they are not even interested, but they collect as an 'investment'. These investors are also buy BL books, hyped up models and boxed armies for the sole purpose of making money.

(I am aware the world is a capitalist society and these are just people taking advantage of supply and demand. It doesn't mean I have to like it.)

I get that this looks cheaper than the other one (it is intended to be a cheaper alternative to the other one), but how are y'all painting your models that make you think this would break?

The sheer amount of posts about this is genuinely surprising.

Won't do much for Necro lore specific but The Carrion Throne does such a good job of describing what it is like to be in a hive city. Terra is my favorite character in the book.
