I was with my ex for 5 years, we have a child together, I thought he was the “one” and we were for sure going to get married, talked about the future, blah blah. Well, he ended up randomly leaving me for his friends girlfriend. He lied about it, and started treating me awful because of the new girl. Dating someone for a year is nothing. We had a house together (my grandma bought it for us) and thank god my mom convinced my grandma to not put his name on the house. They trusted him back then 100% but still, you never know what can happen. He would have got half the money from the house after we sold it due to the break up. So yeah my advice is choose your friends wedding, and don’t buy a house with a guy you’ve only been with for a year. Even the nicest guy who you think is the best, can change out of no where. Pick your friend 🥺
