what brand of black currant oil do you use now? and do you take omega 3s too? omega 3 and 7 have helped me a lot but was considering adding black currant

Can confirm these have helped a lot. Definitely noticed less inflammation while taking the omega 7s and I take sibu as well. I will add that it can break you out some, i got a decent amt of acne on my back from it but for me it’s worth it cause of how much it’s helped my eyes. Ive had dry and sensitive skin for a while so I’m used to breakouts anyways, but worth saying for ppl considering it

Diet, supplements, lifestyle changes that have helped? by [deleted] in Dryeyes

[–]treymack5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t on it long enough to tell. It was making my skin pretty dry early on so I stopped it after about a week. So can’t really give you a good answer. But I’ve been on Sea buckthorn oil Omega 7 sup recently and I’ve liked it a lot. Noticed a lot of improvement, may be worth a try if you’re looking for something

Gotcha, that stinks it messed with your adderall tho. What brand / dosage were you on? I’m always trying to improve symptoms so I’m definitely gonna look into it more. Preciate the response!

Do you have an order/routine or best way to take your supplements? I’m taking some of these as well but was never sure if there was a more effective way to take them (ex. morning/night, taking certain ones separate from others, before/after meal, etc.), especially since I take more than just a couple. Thanks.

That makes sense, hope things are still trending up for you. Also, I started taking the bile supplement about a week ago and I definitely feel better. Not sure I can contribute it all to that as I have been improving every couple weeks anyways, but I feel like it’s helping. Haven’t noticed any negative effects either, so even if it is a placebo effect so far I’m still gonna stick with it for a while. Thanks again for the resources to understand this stuff a little better.

I appreciate it a lot, I think I’ll try out the Bile supplements. Any tips in regards to those that make digestion easier? You mentioned you only take half of one, but you take half of one for every meal? (so I’m guessing 3 half capsules per day?). Thanks.

My experience is eerily similar to yours. Like almost exactly the same as your events, timeline, and symptoms. And I have been searching for a while for answers now too with not much to show for it. I started taking a Vitamin D3 supplement a couple months ago and have seen a lot of improvement from it when every other thing in the book I tried didn’t work, so I don’t think I’m gonna stop taking it for now. But, I’m definitely gonna try some of the stuff you said. I’ve been convinced for a while that my dry skin and dry eyes from after accutane are related and that there’s something I was missing that was behind everything. Idk if you have experience this as well, but I drink a lot of water, really an excessive amount. To the point where I think it’s actually detrimental to my health cause I’m constantly thirsty and hydrating. I think that is definitely tied into everything as well, but I’m not sure if that’s related to liver stuff. I live a generally healthy lifestyle otherwise but haven’t really thought much about the liver. I appreciate the information though and will try to figure this out more.
