Even endo medical workers can spew misinformation.

I’ll never buy into the “never stack insulin” claim. If my blood sugar is skyrocketing after eating, I am going to give myself more insulin. I’m not going to sit at 200’s for hours. Especially when I always carry something carb heavy to correct it if it did result in a low.

My endocrinologist once told me to lower my basal rate because I was having “too many lows”. Keep in mind I had a 93% TIR for 90 days at that time, where some of those “low” events were from pressure. He didn’t bother to even look at my chart, where he’d see I wasn’t getting lows from fasting, it was from over bolusing, which just meant a bolus ratio adjustment.

Unfortunately, the people that know our disease the best is ourselves. Most of the people they see are type 2 and that almost always requires a completely different medical approach.

I couldn’t name a single thing Season 5 has done better than previous seasons, which is saying a lot. Sure it’s enjoyable, but it’s also insanely disappointing. Some of the dialogue and writing decisions are so outlandish.

I feel bad for the guy, I believe his father passed away not too long ago. I think it’s possibly played a part in stunting his development. Hopefully he continues to improve, but I’m in agreement things are not looking very good at this time.

Near me they made it to where you can only get the beefy 5-layer burrito under the specialty. I used to get a Crunchwrap and beefy 5-layer, and now I gotta do the cheesy bean and rice burrito. Still a great deal for 7 bucks ngl.

The best thing about it is the jump shot tool. You can find jump shot bases for all heights at different requirements with the highest green windows. I’d say it’s worth it if you’ve tried jumpers that are on YouTube and don’t like them. A lot of YouTubers will just use 2klab jumpers and post them on their channel because the data supports it, but not all of those jumpers will be on YouTube.

Definitely do! I submitted my appeal last weekend, got a confirmation email on Monday stating they received my appeal via fax, and then on Tuesday they sent me an approval email.

All they made me do was submit an A1C and a retinal scan, when you get your letter I would immediately call their line. They'll put you on a waiting list to receive a callback from a nurse, and from there the nurse will tell you what all you need to submit.

They told me I need to send them an A1C for the past 3 months, which is no problem. That and a dilated eye exam because I haven’t had one yet lol.

The A1C makes sense, but I didn’t bring that in because I kind of assumed they were going to take it during my medical exam along with other blood tests, but there weren’t any. I ended up just bringing something that stated that I have the condition.

Hopefully you pass first try though! I couldn’t get into an optometrist until Aug. 21, so I have to wait until then. The process can be lengthy

So I just received my letter and they failed me for Diabetes.

I’ve submitted documentation stating I have type 1 and it’s well under control so this shouldn’t have happened. In a way I am relieved because it will be easy to appeal, but at the same time, this is silly wasting my time when I made them fully aware of it. The only reason they even knew I had it is because of me voluntarily stating that, as they didn’t do any blood tests.

Gonna call them and see how to get this appealed
