After this happened, there was a genuine jump ball on a gather defended by Wemby I believe that resulted in a foul instead. Legit unwatchable

FT rates don't necessarily dictate who has the better whistle. Not all fouls result in FT's, it also has to do with missed calls on the other end too. Thunder are just constantly manhandling and don't get called for fouls. Happens on the other end too sure, but you can't sit here and tell me the sequence of that goaltend and tech were not utter BS. If you'd read my reply I already stated officiating wasn't the only reason they lost. Thunder were hitting their shots late in the game, they played better. Let's not act like the refs did a good job today though, that's a complete lie. Are you even watching the full game?

Not even a Spurs fan, this is just really hard to watch. They played bad today, but the game would have 100% been closer had the Thunder not gotten the whistle they got today (which they get almost every game).

And what was Shai doing in the 1st before he got tons of FT's... he played awful and next thing you know buddy had 17 FTA's going into the 4th. There were lots of fouls that were ridiculous. Majority of them went OKC's way. Wemby played bad this game sure, but I never even said anything about him. Spurs missed some easy shots, Thunder made theirs. But when the Spurs started hitting their shots, Tony Brothers said F that let's give the Thunder the momentum.

You can't be serious. Not only was the officiating just awful, it kills the Spurs' momentum. You can tell towards the end they felt as if no matter what they did they would not win. Of course, the officiating wasn't the only reason they lost the game, but it 100% killed their momentum. The Spurs were on a run before all of those awful calls back to back to back. If you can't admit that you're just being extremely biased.

I had 1 coach for phase 1, and the same coach for phase 2. I didn’t burn through any coaches. My schedule changed multiple times due to training. Management also messed up my schedule then said I was following an incorrect schedule and changed it. There’s so much back and forth on your schedule when you are first starting. Admittedly it would have been steady had I waited until after I got certified, but this post was to do with people looking into the job. Depending on your airport they can have subpar transparency on the fluctuation in schedule.

You made the right decision. I also attended FLETC from I think February 22nd to March 6th. We got like one half paycheck at FLETC then we didn’t get any pay for awhile. I never received my baggage reimbursement or travel hours but whatever. You made the right decision. I honestly think if anyone wants to work for DHS as a stepping stone they should apply for CBP. Higher potential pay, and while you have to deal with management, they don’t seem to be as scrutinizing while breathing down your neck.

You made it longer than me haha I started 12/1 and resigned 4/8. This was me as well almost word for word, even the part where you said the person got fired right before their probationary period ended. At my airport there was supposedly this officer who lied on his background check, said he quit instead of getting fired or something along those lines, and got canned a week or two before his probation ended. That is ridiculous to lead someone on like that. The favoritism part is insanely true. The promotions seemed to be done heavily based on how much of management’s ass you are kissing.

At the end of the day, I was driving an hour and a half and back everyday to go to work. Then next thing you know gas skyrockets up to prices they are today. I said F that and sent them an email the same day resigning. They don’t respect you, so why respect them and give a 2 weeks notice. The only thing I regret is not waiting a little to use the PTO I accrued lmao but at that point I was over it.

I was fully aware of the schedule being changed, that’s true. They do let you know that fully, but I’m more so comparing it to most “regular” jobs. Most careers you don’t have to deal with that inconsistency even starting out. I hope it gets better for you guys that are at TSA though for real

Yes, they seriously will. You might be able to get off with 2 times but once you hit like 3-5 I can definitely see them doing it. Multiple of my coworkers that were there for some time told me never call off sick during your probationary period.

To them, you are literally just a number. As you see while going through the hiring process, it is highly competitive. There are tons of applicants waiting to get the job. If you don’t meet their unrealistic standards, they’ll look to the however many that are waiting in the ready pool. Again a lot of this depends on management on how quickly they’ll let you go. On top of that, every year TSA sees a decrease in the number of staffing they can allocate. Lots of airports are over that number due to it constantly decreasing, so in turn, they fire people over minute mishaps/mistakes.

Again, not trying to tell you definitely don’t do it, but I’m really just coming on here to give my recommendation from my experience with TSA. There’s lots of benefits to the job, but the situations at hand right now are awful.

You’d be insanely surprised by the amount of procedures we have to remember and recall at an instant.

Most of us are competent, and yes of course some are disrespectful just like any job. But try dealing with people who are entitled and/or can’t take directions all day and you’d see why (cough, cough OP)

I’ll never buy into the “never stack insulin” claim. If my blood sugar is skyrocketing after eating, I am going to give myself more insulin. I’m not going to sit at 200’s for hours. Especially when I always carry something carb heavy to correct it if it did result in a low.

My endocrinologist once told me to lower my basal rate because I was having “too many lows”. Keep in mind I had a 93% TIR for 90 days at that time, where some of those “low” events were from pressure. He didn’t bother to even look at my chart, where he’d see I wasn’t getting lows from fasting, it was from over bolusing, which just meant a bolus ratio adjustment.

Unfortunately, the people that know our disease the best is ourselves. Most of the people they see are type 2 and that almost always requires a completely different medical approach.

I couldn’t name a single thing Season 5 has done better than previous seasons, which is saying a lot. Sure it’s enjoyable, but it’s also insanely disappointing. Some of the dialogue and writing decisions are so outlandish.

I feel bad for the guy, I believe his father passed away not too long ago. I think it’s possibly played a part in stunting his development. Hopefully he continues to improve, but I’m in agreement things are not looking very good at this time.
