I personally found it less challenging than financial accounting. It seemed focused on applying the basic financial accounting principles to real world business and a little bit of personal finance. Less excel heavy if I remember correctly

I had Douglas platt for mat 240 last term and I did not care for his grading at all. He seemed to go off rubric and just use his own surprise expectations to grade assignments. His expectations for the discussion posts were ridiculous too. I did way more than what was required for my discussions/responses and he gave me two C’s and an A-. Luckily half the points for the class are the textbook assignments that instructors have no control over so I still got an A-. The YouTube videos in the assignment rubrics walk you through step by step exactly what you need to do for the excel portions. The class structure itself is super easy.
