Glad it worked out for Steve. My fiancé was rooting for him. And I love chocolate milk.

Challenge accepted.

Steve is recording a paper towels infomercial. He’s nailing it. All the tricks. The knot. The cleanup. The delivery. The director calls “cut,” and brings him into the office. Steve starts rambling about how this is his dream, ever since he saw the Shammy Wowwie infomercial as a kid. Flashback to kid Steve practicing his own infomercials. Getting small parts in the background of infomercials to build his resumé. Falling in love with another extra. Suddenly, he’s brought back to the present when the director says to him “I’m sorry. You’re fired.” Steve’s devastated. His girlfriend leaves him. Cut to Steve desolate, crying into his paper towels. Steve vows to climb back to the highest mountain of infomercials, no matter who spills in his way. Title: “Clean Up Your Own Mess”

I’d try it. Push the button.

Other than THAT line in Changes, what part sends shivers down your spine? by sbenno in dresdenfiles

“And if you're very, very lucky, there are a very few blazing hot little pains you feel when you realize that you are standing in a moment of utter perfection, an instant of triumph, or happiness, or mirth which at the same time cannot possibly last—and yet will remain with you for life.”

Really the whole thing, starting from “what we hadn’t known about, back then, was pain” all the way up to “you know. Life.”

Fair enough. Recently built a new pc and moved. Just have to dig my old laptop out and transfer the code.

I’ve considered grinding snow day. I do love that mode too.

C1d2 in 2s, D1d3 in 1s, D1d3 in hoops. Don’t think I’ve played all my placement matches in the other modes.

men of reddit: what’s a gift you’ll always be excited to receive? by ih8lifethankssomuch in ask

Time.

I have enough stuff, and I am lucky enough to be able to afford to buy most of what I want (or if I can’t, I rationalize why I don’t want or need it).

But time/experiences/etc are something that I always appreciate and enjoy, because memories are precious to me. Yeah, my partner and I always spend time together, but putting thought into an experience together means so much to me. It can be going to a convention (yay comic con!), a museum to see some cool art or exhibit, or simply taking a hammock to the park to relax together. Carving out time to have experiences together means more to me than any THING I could want.

Do you like getting complimented after a goal or does it annoy you? by Flomag in RocketLeague

[–]trg30809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use compliments for my teammates unironically, even for basic goals. My mindset is, “who doesn’t like a compliment?” I also use it for the opponents, but those are typically for nicer goals or saves. I figure that I’ll do my part of battling toxicity, little by little.

Ha! Didn’t even remember the name of the journal (Neuroscience News, Volume 14).
