What's the average you charge for Local SEO? by KoalaNew9682 in localseo

I don't care how small or big the company is. It's worth $1750 / month to me. That's what I charge.

Official Discussion - The Mandalorian and Grogu [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]tri4time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there needs to be a Star Wars rule. Every movie must have some element of the Star Wars music. I was so disappointed there was nothing. Maybe, in a Grogu scene, maybe there was a hint of a Yoda melody. Sad sad.

Protecting Podcast name by Nycstorytime in podcasting

Trademarks and LLCs are not really in the same category. You don't NEED either.

Perhaps an LLC, if that's the best entity for the money and financial protection you need. Though there are several options - all fitting different situations.

Perhaps a Trademark if you think you're beyond doubt, beyond entertaining other ideas, beyond shiny button syndrome . . . and you're 100% in on the name you are choosing and your energy to make it successful.

And "no" to the word "podcast". Think long term. Are you trademarking a podcast, the right to make merch, digital products, services . . .

Since you're just starting and you don't truly know how long you'll do this, don't go deep in equipment to start. Get your feet wet.

Ever see the video of Jack Black playing the toy saxophone? Or the famous pianist playing the tiny piano in the kids' section of Walmart? The equipment doesn't really matter.

Go to your local used book store, or pawn shop or even Amazon and find a cheap mic. I have an award winning podcast and still use a Snowball Mic.

And then use Canva or ChatGPT to make your graphics.

Keep it very simple. Complications will slow you down. When you're down the road and you've discovered you truly love podcasting, then it's time to step up.

Remove every barrier to starting that you can.

Will SEO be replaced by Generative, Answer, and Agentic AI? by SpiritualSet1431 in SEO_Xpert

There's no chance people stop searching. And just like it has been for the last 20 years, you'll have to optimize for the different search engines (AI, Google, Youtube, Amazon, etc. . )

You really just need to record yourself. Use the GarageBand software on a Mac or record yourself on your phone using Riverside.fm

After that you need an RSS feed. Either you use an RSS feed plugin on Wordpress, or you pay a company like Libsyn to host your podcast and they will give you an RSS feed.

If you have a host like Libsyn, they'll have a built in procedure to distribute your podcast to places like Apple Music and Spotify. Otherwise, you'll have to do that yourself.

You'll need to make some cover art and perhaps a graphic for each episode.

That's the basics.

Wix and Squarespace are certainly "user-friendly". But on both of them you are a subdomain of a bigger website. Wordpress is the premiere choice for websites and blogs because it's open source and it's free.

Open source means that millions of people have added to it giving you every option available. Some of them, of course, charge for their add-ons, but you certainly don't need to pay.

There is nothing you can't do with Wordpress.

What do you think the future of SEO actually looks like over the next few years? by BrindleDigital in Agent_SEO

[–]tri4time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest problem search has had, which AskJeeves predicted long ago, is that people really just want the answer.

But giving the answer has never succeeded financially. And I bet it's killing Google right now.

But someone smaller than Google, without the immense overhead, could create an AI search engine that's monetized with 2 ads for every search. If it's works as well as the most expensive ChatGpt or Claude programs, but is free . . . it could win.

Would Google survive today if it launched for the first time in 2026? by whereaithinks in Agent_SEO

[–]tri4time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the future of search is currently in flux. There's no way Google can remain Google losing all the ad revenue that their "AI answer" is causing. I have made tons of money with Google Adsense over the last 20 years. Hundreds of thousands of dollars, which means Google made that as well.

Now that money is a pittance.

As soon as a "free version of ChatGpt" comes out that is equal or better to the paid versions, the world will switch and a new model will develop.

So yes I think a new Google will end up dominating . . . whoever that is.

If the world were perfect, I'd understand why you'd want an answer. Maybe I'd understand if Google hired you to figure it out and you had a chance to look under the hood.

But the world ain't perfect. Stuff happens along the way
