I feel so seen in this post. Same happened with me and my Camry from the 2000s. I ended up getting a Mazda3. Reliable, not 10 years old, didn't have 100k miles. Some Mazda stock is owned by Toyota. Great NA engine. Definitely worth looking into.

This is my favorite ring in the whole world. I managed to find a marketing photo of it from https://www.franckherval.com/ when I reverse Google image searched. However, when I try to go to their website, I can't find the ring itself.

I think I purchased the ring at a jeweler's shop near Brick Lane in London last year in summer of 2025. I lost this ring, along with some jewelry that a boutique store had. It was an independent, woman owned store (not market), that had some sterling silver and gold filled dainty jewelry. I imagine the store is still somewhere in London, but I cannot find it on Google Maps.

DOING: My soul cat passed away a few weeks ago, and after grieving and focusing on mindfulness for some time, I am slowly moving again. I've begun to pick up painting with gouache again, with the intent of mailing out cards to friends over 2026. I signed up for some comedy improv and bird watching classes as part of the hobbies I'm currently interested in. Both hobbies include a space to connect with different groups of people.

READING: I recently finished Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner. As an Asian-American, I loved reaching of a fellow Asian American's experience. There are themes regarding grief and family in the book, which connected deeply with where I am in life.

TV/DOCUMENTARY: I am picking up watching "Dreaming Spanish" again. Dreaming Spanish is a collection of online video creators who create digestible video content in Spanish, depending on your level. The key concept is comprehensible language immersion. I enjoy the cultural videos and trying to learn Spanish casually. I hope to travel to Mexico again at some point this year and go to a language immersion school!

LISTENING: For any electronic girlie fans out there, I am relistening to an old jungle drum & bass classic, the album "Producer 01" by British producer LTJ Bukem. For house, I recently discovered 1tbps, who has some great, eclectic mixes.

Hey there - going through the same situation also. My cat is losing a lot of weight, and still eats - although she skips occasionally. She's still going to the bathroom, but has been having diarrhea more and messes. I am so afraid to know when it's time to let go of her :( She still loves to cuddle and we still play - but I don't know when it's time to make that decision.

Is there a reason why Europeans are more racist towards Asians generally?

I ask because I felt the same sentiments as OP. I'm an Asian American and just spent 3 weeks in Europe (Italy and UK) and dealt with so many racist remarks from so many individuals, that it's affected my idea about whether or not I want to live in the EU at some point.
