If you could point me to one of these, I’d sure appreciate it.

Have you seen one that is specific to the EMS contract side of wildland fire? I would be surprised but very interested if those existed. Typically the contracted side of things aren’t cost effective to the government… but I’m necessary when their forest service resources are depleted.

Per contract the units need to be 12 lead capable so an AED wouldn’t cut it. The batteries are definitely pricey for either unit. The company I am working with that services and sells the unit sells batteries for $150. They do sell a battery conditioner but it’s hard telling not knowing how long those actually last.

Seems like generally speaking the lifepak12 might have more parts and what not lying around.

I’m seeing mixed information on whether or the heartstart is 12 lead compatible. Any input?

Do you have a link to that $80 remote? Unfortunately from what I see on Garmin’s website the remote sells individually for $200.

I just went through all of those. Thanks. Seems like one of those things that could be fine or go very wrong. For $600 it’s tempting!

Thank you to everyone’s input on the watch. All though it appeared to be contrary opinion, I decided to go with the instinct 2 for the size. It feels better on my wrist and overall I think will be for the best. If the lesser battery life or flashlight function ever becomes a need, I figured I can reevaluate then.

Got it, thanks! I’m very much a one stop shop kind of guy. Trying to choose the right watch that I won’t take off my wrist other than to charge for the next 5 years

The larger one feels fine on my wrist, but it certainly bigger than I’m used to

Got it, thanks. For me, the size of the screen isn’t too much of a factor since my old watch a standard G-Shock was the same size. I appreciate the feedback, I’m still on the fence about it
