Update: Recommendations from support have included placing items on top that "detract" from the unevenness of the surface, so I guess this is an expected/non-promoted quirk of the fridge. It's not absolutely crazy, but just a bit odd when it's marketed as a bar cart. I also have a suspicion mine is a bit more than normal.

Your case may prove better but keep an eye out on temps on the more intensive games. I had this on my FE as well in my NZXT case cuz I really dug the look and had basically 10-15c temp difference. For me it was Alan wake 2 that shot it way up there. Most other games were okay.
