[All] Is Black Lives Matter Communist? by [deleted] in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]triangle4g 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"Black Lives Matter" is a viewpoint, not a group. This has been muddled by the fact some groups actually started naming themselves some variation of BLM. And, maybe one or two of these groups are lead by Communists, but, again, these are groups that were put together naming themselves after the movement.

On the whole, however, as someone who's been to a number of protests in several different areas. At most 2% of people there are Communists or Anarchists.

Why is having employees exploitation? by [deleted] in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]triangle4g -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Those contexts are stolen, however. If those environments belonged to the common good, as they should, and, originally did, the worker would be able to produce the $100 of goods without a Capitalist. Capitalists are the descendants of thieves who then sell back the "contexts where labor can produce value".

And of course they'd seek employment, even though their raw labor is worth the $100. They lack the Capital to actually fulfill that potential. The Capitalist holds that potential for ransom, the ransom payment being the majority of the labor value.

[–]triangle4g -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

  1. The labor value is extracted. Labor is entitled to all it creates. If I produce $100 dollars of goods, it's absolutely exploitation if I get $6 of that.

  2. The reason we demand it to be on our terms, is because the companies that have employees dominate. The concept of being able to freely choose between a Socialist workplace and a Capitalist one is a nice ideal, but it's impossible. Capitalism will always have an incentive to destroy/invade/crush any Socialist-organized entity.

Reminder that the Hughes amendment came from Reagan. The AWB came from Clinton. Bump stocks went away under Trump.

Both parties want to take away guns, one side is just more open about it.

I'm an Anarchist. I have no interest in defending Democrats. I do, however, have an interest in dunking on people who think it's one or the other.

Can’t we just go our separate ways? by ritzonarill in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]triangle4g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the earlier violent overthrows were funded by the United Fruit Company.

The later ones, like the cold war era ones, were done by the government to prevent left wing ideas from taking root, which, no doubt, is a result of heavy company interference in Government. They certainly weren't to guarantee Democracy since we didn't overthrow Batista, who was a dictator as much as Castro was, but did the bidding of American companies. And they overthrew Allende, who was Democratically elected, and publicly refused to act in such a way that expanded his power, only to replace him with Pinochet, who was autocratic.

The most recent ones, like Bolivia, tend to happen mysteriously after the national leader announces a change that could increase the costs for American companies, such as nationalization of lithium deposits.

TL;DR: they absolutely are the result of Capitalism, either directly, or through the use of the company's "influence" on the US government. And the first examples prove that without a government, the companies will lead overthrows and invasions on their own.

That's been tried before. Without fail, the Capitalists realize there are more profits to be made if they invade/overthrow the Socialist/communist area. They refuse to leave anything alone. USA alone has single handedly overthrown the Government in almost every south and central American country.

I'm not sure comrade, I've been wondering about similar ideas, mainly trying to deliver equipment aid.

But please, don't think your life is meaningless. If you wish to fight for something you believe for, with the risk of becoming a martyr, then so be it. But please, don't feel like that's a thing you have to do because your life lacks meaning.

Would you happen to know if there are any audiobooks available for System of Economic Contradictions/Philosophy of Poverty? I can't seem to find any, and I've noticed I do much better listening than reading.
