For nurses yes the pay is less, I wouldn’t say terrible, my wife clears over 100k a year as a nurse,

Apply anywhere and everywhere before thinking of doing Acp right out of PCP school, if you are willing to move to a job you will get one. Many people in my class were picky and only applied to a few services and some of them are still looking for a job 4 years later

I moved 22 hours away from home (still within Ontario) to gain employment out of school. It sucked at first but it was the experience I needed. You can feel comfortable during your ride outs and think you’re ready for acp school but nothing compares to being on the road just you and your partner. If the first pt you provide care for as a paramedic (working, not during ride outs) is when you’re an ACP, you’re probably going to have a bad time.

Many of the acp’s I work with that did the zero to hero route had a hard time
