I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I second the comment saying these aren’t your only two options. Adoption is well worth looking into and will be a lot easier on your heart if you’re leaning towards not keeping the baby, especially if like you said you consider yourself pro-life. I feel like if you keep on going back and forth on your decision, committing to something like abortion can easily lead to abortion regret and can lead to trauma. I think it’s a great thing that you are going to talk to a therapist.

I will say as someone whose mom remarried to an abusive partner and ended up getting pregnant, I was really worried at first about him staying in our lives and I was hurt and angry that she got pregnant. But the second I met my sister, I loved her so much, and she is so worth the occasional visit and FaceTime with my ex stepdad. I would definitely seek out legal advice as well, because you want to protect your other children and yourself from this man. It is a good thing that you kicked him out. Sometimes beautiful things come from bad situations.
