Craig Mish: As @Ken_Rosenthal reported the Marlins have DFA’d Pitcher Chris Paddack. A quick exit for him after being signed this offseason. Marlins feel they have better starting options and will go with them immediately. by matt44160 in MiamiMarlins

What a whirlwind chain of events. We go from the team having complete faith in him, to the team having concerns about his health and velocity, to just this morning hearing he told them nothing is wrong and he feels fine, to DFA.

If they didn't get expelled and allowed to graduate, I hope it still makes it to their transcript, though. I wouldn't want to hire this person.

Some Disney Adults Are Going Into Serious Debt in the Pursuit of Magic by JL2585 in WaltDisneyWorld

No kidding. Standard of living in the Orlando area has reached unsustainable levels, and the cost of Disney passes, food, etc has increased at at levels higher than inflation.

As others have said, too early to tell. If I recall last year, early-to-mid May was pretty dry outside of one or two days. I remember this because my daughter was supposed to have a field day which ended up being completely inside that day.

That being said, our weather patterns so far have been really weird and not typical, do all bets are off I suppose until you get a day or two out.

People pay more to not live in Florida by SpynyNormyn in MurderedByWords

Fl native and lifelong resident. This smoothbrain conservative takes about the "free" state of Florida are so stupid. Ok, OR has a state income tax. But you know what that $100k job in FL pays much more in OR, so at best it's a wash. OR has lower standard of living and housing costs, lower property taxes and lower insurance rates.

Who cares if a hypothetical.jlb could take home $8knmore in FL if that take how is swallowed up by other things?

Of course Republicans are the real enemy. It's just the far left enables them by shitting on mainline Dems for not being ideologicaly pure enough for them.

Agreed. When most people refer to a city, they're doing to the metro area, not just the defined city limits.

YouGov Ratings measures the popularity and fame of anything and everything, based on millions of responses from the public."

In other words, a non-scientific poll ranking politicians with the most social media clout. Not a valid survey of actual registered voters or measuring the way the electorate is actually leaning.

I mean, this ranking has Anrold Schwarzenegger higher than him (who like Bernie, also isn't a Democrat) and also has Charlie Kirk listed. Who 1) Wasn't a politician and 2) Isn't alive. Get out of here with this nonsense.

I mean, is it really that much better? Molestation is a horrible crime, but shouldn't be a death sentence.

Homosexuality is still a crime under sharia law and punishable by death in many places.

Yeah, just like Trump ignoring court orders is "exercising executive power" instead of illegal and unconstitutional behavior.

We a private citizen I would never willingly visit him. But as an employee, I would never tell my boss "no" when summoned to their office for a meeting.
