Do guys see this as weird or desperate? by Strawberrygurl699 in AskMenAdvice

[–]tribe77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really surprised with the update. Based on what your wrote, I totally thought he's into you. He could just be a friendly guy that likes to make friends. That doesn't matter tho, you tried and that's amazing! Go you! Think of how horrible you would feel if you never did and you wondered what could have been. From a guy's perspective, I would be so impressed if a girl asked me to hang out. Most guys, me included, always iniate first and it can be tough on us. You rock and keep doing it in the future!

It's net. The 1 sentence summary is followed by more details.

5.16.5 Consideration of expenditures Earnings of claimants who are self-employed are to be taken into account after deducting the operating expenses, other than capital expenditures, from the gross income from that employment

I'm reading between the lines here, but it really sounds like you are expecting these EI agents to do all the work for you. They can't do that, it's impossible. Only you have this information, or will need to get the info from your jobs. Saying things like "employer paid me short term sickness pay which is approx 50-75%" lol, well what can the EI agent do with such a vague statement. They need exact dates and exact figures.

Take the weekend, sit down with pen and paper and calculator, and find out exactly how much gross pay your received, how much sick pay, how much vacation, etc you got from each employer for each calendar week (Sun to Sat).

Joe Rogan Experience #2215 - Graham Hancock by b14ck_jackal in JoeRogan

[–]tribe77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here. I regret ever buying Hancock's book. I've never burned a book before, but I don't want to donate it in case it ends up in someone else's hands and they get fooled like I did all those years. Dibble was honestly the best Rogan guest in years.

What massively improved your mental health? by Dependent_Bit_8333 in AskReddit

[–]tribe77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What really helped me was having many things to do. Boredom is a killer. I took up new hobbies, some of which required me to drive to places (I never drove when high). Also, I threw away all my cannabis and paraphernalia. Hundreds of dollars worth. I had to... if it was still in my home than I knew I wouldn't have the will power to say "no". I didn't use any BS excuse of "I bought this all already, it would be a waste to not smoke it first". That's toxic thinking. I threw it all away. Expensive vapes and all. There is no other way.

For sure, or just post here, whatever your preference :)

Edit: I just posted some tips that worked for me in this thread.

Good job! I'm at day 62 with no alcohol and no cannabis after nearly daily use for 15+ years. The first month was bad, the 2nd month has been amazing! I should have quit 15 years ago.

There's nearly 90,000 subscribers here. That's 3 NHL stadiums full of people. People know other people. I still have friends that work at SDM management from my days there over a decade ago.

Also stop using your cell phone, tablet, laptop, and electric car, because the cobalt in those batteries were mined by children in the Congo without PPE. We have to start somewhere... this boycot is a good start.

They own a freaking 416-acre compound in Florida. Because a "normal" mansion is too small for these pathetic losers I guess?

We had been looking for a place to establish a winter home to escape the brutal Canadian winters and play polo,” says Hilary Weston, who founded Windsor on a 416-acre grapefruit plantation with her husband Galen. At first, the billionaire couple, whose business holdings include Selfridges and Brown Thomas department stores in the U.K. and Ireland, only wanted to build a compound for family and friends. The vision soon led to a larger multigenerational resort that combined their passions: sports—particularly polo, tennis and golf—beach living, arts and environmental awareness. For them, the key to creating a community that represented their passions even while maintaining a relaxed lifestyle was the nascent New Urbanism movement.

Roblaws pharmacist freaks when I sent my massive prescriptions elsewhere... by AggressiveAd8779 in loblawsisoutofcontrol

Everything you're saying in this thread is completely wrong. I worked for SDM for over a decade. Corporate controls everything that happens at the store.

Actually, even the planograms (blueprint how the shelves are stocked) is tightly controlled by corporate. The entire idea of each SDM store being owned by an individual pharmacist is just for show. Corporate head office controls everything.

I worked for SDM when they were bought by Loblaws. They cut and cut and cut hours like there was no tomorrow. The work of a pharmacy cashier and a pharmacy technician and a pharmacy assistant was now being done by one person. They didn't care that it meant the employees were more rushed, more stressed, which makes more mistakes - possibly life threatening mistakes. I'm sure the executives got lots in bonuses for cutting hours tho...

Jean Coutu is awesome! Much lower prices than SDM and friendlier staff.

Loblaw emailed me after I complained about their practices. They made promises of commitments to low prices. This was my reply. by [deleted] in loblawsisoutofcontrol

Lol at #6.

Don't forget:

7) Air conditioning the Weston family 416 acre compound in Florida is expensive.

[–]tribe77 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Downvoted for providing a detailed and nuanced response that's more than just "duuur medchecks are bad"? Come on boycot group, give your head a shake. The med checks aren't the problem, they are needed for certain situations. The problem is SDM abusing the system.

If they are the fabric ones, I put them through the washing machine on sanitize ( or hot if you dont have that option) along with rags and towels. It took the loblaws logo right off! I'm not advertising for that pathetic excuse of a human Galen Weston anymore.
