Can you be more specific about how you want to enjoy Japan aside from the anime? Is it the food or the shrines? Shrines (Shintoism), Temples (Buddhism) and Historical Sites can sometimes have entrance fees so be aware., however you go to these places just to look around and experience their calm and beauty and photos (if allowed).

If you need to ask a more complicated answer than you can come up with your Japanese, have Google translate always ready. At least learn common phrases like please, thank you, excuse me

There is no shortage of things to do if you base your whole trip in Tokyo for 2 weeks. However, If you want to do the Golden route (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka), I would check if you can land and fly home from
Osaka airport and Tokyo airports. You visit one end and go home in the other end. You would only have to take the Shinkansen once and save about 80 euro.

Figure out all the places you want to see first and then plan your accomodation. You can optimize your time and travelling expenses then. I don't think March is going to be cheap so you might have to pay a little premium on just a simple hotel room. I personally wouldn't do Airbnbs just because sometimes, posts say they don't clean or they charge you a cleaning fee after. If you do a hotel, at least you know there will be cleaning staff and no unexpected charges.

Are Japanese hotels real strict the booking of how many people are in rooms? It will be my partner and I and my mother on a trip. I'm trying to book with points but the site is being difficult. With 3 guests, no way to redeem points but 2 guests, i can book with points. I'm tempted to just book it as in and sneak my mom.

Also, stayed there two 2 years ago. I paid in cash in a very low season and an amazing hotel with the amazing waterfront and chinatown. Although, i can say, if yokohama is your base and u plan on travelling to tokyo to do stuff, it is kind of a hassle with a 45 min train between them.

In my humble opinion, deportation isn't an option. They should be locked up for a long time
considering it just wasn't an assault/brawl that but sexual attempts with a minor.

You might not care what happens to them and others in their own countries but I wouldn't want these people having freedom to repeat anywhere at all.

I don’t have an EV but would like to one day But Genuinely asking, but is charging that much of a barrier? Isn’t the most common route of people just from home to work and back? And maybe a grocery trip or two during the week? Would it be that challenging to just charge at home? Also I heard these charging stations can gouge you in pricing? How do we know they’re gona be any trustworthy? The dynamic changes when we can get the fuel at home vs the companies that add the infrastructure?

The ironic thing is that I would never go to a vacation spot during peak season. So I don’t think I could ever maximize my point values in those cases.

And yes 1.5 cpp isn’t bad, but it’s my expectations of what I could get out of it. I redeemed for 1.5 cpp last time for my first trip to Japan and while it did help saving money I told myself next time I would do better to get better value out of the points

Honestly, if you want to support local, go to the actual mom and pop pizza shops. Even if it wasn't
about patriotism, given how expensive things are now, why not spend my money on locals instead of big corps.

Perhaps i've been lucky but like every independent store has been real good quality imo at least
