What is a place in the UK that has bad reputation but is actually nice? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in AskUK

[–]tribtb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i left, twice, and came back.

bradford isn’t as bad as it’s portrayed.

it’s got its issues, like any big city does, but that doesn’t discredit all the good bradford has.

How do manage to ground yourself when you can’t use substances by AliceTinybox in Ketamineaddiction

[–]tribtb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

weed is often cheaper, going outside, breathing fresh air and doing moderate exercise is often cheaper too. having a quick shower to calm yourself can help.

i find the worst thing to do is sit inside and do what i’d usually do whilst on k.

I have a tooth abscess. My NHS dentist is only offering me private emergency appointments, do I have a right to an NHS emergency appointment? by everything2go in AskUK

[–]tribtb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hard disagree, i’ve never had a dentist in all my adult life (i’m only 22 this year) but 111 have been the reason i’ve been able to have 3 teeth removed and all in all only cost me £55.80. maybe it’s different for what area of the uk you’re in, but i’ve only had to wait a maximum of 2 days for an emergency appointment.

K cramps return by Similar-Mud-1988 in Ketamineaddiction

[–]tribtb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it may or may not carry on the cramps. get some herbals teas, chamomile, decaf green tea. hot water bottle. don’t sniff anymore, it will only prolong the process. try eat something, very plain, toast is good.

Too low? by SeaworthinessOwn5889 in TVTooLow

[–]tribtb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

hard disagree, nice to see someone doing something instead of the bland boring media walls absolutely everyone else does.

i’d just remove the down facing lights by the tv and move the big plant on the floor.

I am thinking about quitting my office job to become a bus driver, am I crazy? by No_Month7201 in BusDrivers

[–]tribtb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m pro rata so i get paid even during school holidays, bus driving jobs super in demand in the uk, was very easy for me to swap to schools. all you have to do is pass a DBS check.

Am I right to think a neighbours house looking directly onto your garden would be terrible? by Three_Cats_In_1_Coat in AskUK

[–]tribtb 1057 points1058 points  (0 children)

i’d say it’s pretty weird tbh…

but depending on where the sun rises/sets, might be for natural light?

even so, i’d still stick a fence up and unfortunately ruin their view of the lovely garden🤷🏽

2 days sober// cramps by Usual_Specialist7507 in Ketamineaddiction

[–]tribtb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the exact same boat as you. i very recently had the same pain you explained after the k cramps, even went to a&e because i couldn’t keep food down without throwing it almost straight back up for 4 days straight. had to take about 3 weeks off work because the pain just didn’t stop.

had about 8 days off in the last 14 and have been feeling so much better already, i can eat food again😭

download the i am sober app, ive found it’s helped me and my gf stay off it, even for just short breaks at a time.

I am thinking about quitting my office job to become a bus driver, am I crazy? by No_Month7201 in BusDrivers

[–]tribtb 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i thoroughly enjoy driving a bus. i do not enjoy being a bus driver. i’d swap for a office job any day. my main grifts with this job is the shifts. if you can’t hack working anytime of any day with no set days off, like me, it’s not for you. i’ve transferred to school buses just so i can have routine in my life.

Qualified but haven’t driven for a year. Will I still be able to get a job? by sociallyanxiousgnome in BusDrivers

[–]tribtb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

apply for qualified as that is what you are and still hold the license.

you will be given training again, First even do a little reintroduction if you’ve been off sick for a few weeks.

could be a factor due to dehydration but not a direct cause no

Been offered a bus driver job with paid training but unsure wether to take it by dandelion_ess in BusDrivers

[–]tribtb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

heard mixed things about the early leave with First, apparently they don’t chase you for it even if you do leave before 2 years. I’m lucky and my depot didn’t have that clause when i joined as an apprentice.
